Hello all,

I am filling out form I-765 for my AOS from a B2 visa and I have a question about #11. I went to undergrad in the US and applied (and was approved) for OPT back in 2006, so I was wondering if that's a yes to #11. Also, I didn't think I had an A# but now that I have found the card for OPT authorization, it has an A# on it, is that my A# and can I go ahead and use that same number in other spots that require it such as in part one of form I-485?

Thanks!!!

@Penguin_ie, Question 11 asks "Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS?"

Thanks!

And you have, so say "Yes".

Thank you! I'm just crossing my t's and dotting my i's.

Another question: do I need to print out every SINGLE page of the passport for both the beneficiary (myself) and US citizen, even if it is blank? or will the data page, visa page and entry stamp page suffice? I'll do what needs to be done but if I can avoid waste, I'd like to.

Geez, no! Why would you need the whole passport being copied? Do you think USCIS is worried that one page is missing from your passport? Come on! Be rationale! They only need the info of yourself and your picture (you know, date of birth, place of issuance, when it was issued, and when it will expire, or when it expired). This both the beneficiary needs, but the petitioner can also have this if he/she has a US passport, thus proving their US citizenship. For the beneficiary (that is: you) you also need a copy of the visa page (so they can see what visa you entered, when it expired if it did) and although they don't emphasize this, but I highly recommend you to have the front and back copy of the I-94 (the white little card that gets stapled to your visa page in your passport). I hope this helps!

Good luck!

Thank you for your response. I asked the question because I see a lot of personal experience checklists and guides such as this "official" visa journey one suggesting to do this, and the word "all" is in capital.

A little clarification never hurt.

Thanks all the same!!!

I saw similar suggestions to copy all passport pages and thought it seemed a bit ridiculous, so I only copied the relevant pages from mine and my wife's for our application. We were fine.

Hey there...no problem, glad you asked as it is always better to be safe than sorry...it just seems soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much to print all single pages in a passport:)...anyway, like the commenter below, I also only included the personal page and visa/I-94 and it was totally fine. So, just save those papers to copy something else onto them...:)

Yup! I thought it was extreme and not "rational" too, lol! Glad I can save a few trees.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences, it's great to hear from real life people who have gone through the process. Now if I can just finish and send out this application. It's taking me too darn long. It should be sent out this week though and then the waiting game begins!!! Woohoo!

Thank you for confirming.
