K1 Visa process after letter from NVC

Hello All

I have received letter from NVC dated 1st Nov stating that my case will be forwarded to Mumbai embassy within a week.

I have the following questions.

1. How long does it take for the embassy to contact send packet 3.

2. I have started working on paperwork. Can you please advise me what should i take care while preparing the documents.

3. What things we can show for relationship proof.

4. What things we need to submit for I134 affidavit of support.

5. For secondary evidence of birth certificate we need to submit a notary (affidavit) from the parents regarding our birth details. Normally we use stamp papers for that. Can anybody let me know whether it can be RS 100 stamp paper will be ok.

6. Does embassy or at Port of entry asks for return ticket just to confirm if we come back if the marriage is not done in 90 days.

I also wanted to know if for the I134 affidavit support do we need to submit the original w2 , and other things will the photocopies will be enough..

i submitted paystubs, and 3 W2's, as well as a letter from the employer.

Hey achiru, I got an appointment letter with date and time from Mumbai consulate without sending in packet 3. And to date I have not received a packet 3 or 4. From what I read, apparently the process changed only for Mumbai after September 27th, and you have to take everything with you the day of the interview and you don't have to submit anything to NVC since they will not be accepting any documents. Look around, maybe you will find something. People on this forum don't seem to respond to questions about the new process when asked. Good luck. Our interview is on Nov. 26th.

Thanks abrarsalam ...even i got the appointment letter directly and told to bring all the documents directly at the interview. Can you please share your experience what hey asked and about the documentation...mine is non dec 19.can you give me ur email id so that i can send my questions..
