if you'd like to operate off the assumption that moderation knows everything that goes on in vj, feel free.

Do you really want to discuss this here? As a moderator, I would like to humbly suggest that you do not fall into that particular ego trap. However, as you asked, I do not post based on that particular assumption no; and moreover nothing I posted could conceivable lead you to suppose that I do. Would you like to try again?

Oh, nice edit charles, very nice. Much wiser to suggest that it is something to do with the fact that you do not see every post than that I might assume that there is an 'anything goes' policy on VJ.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

For the record my response was to the original comment made by Charles the gist of which was 'if I want to operate on the assumption that anything goes on VJ than I was to feel free to do so' My response makes more sense if you see the original comment being responded to rather than the edit - :)

I can't stand the whole 'this country is on the wrong/right track' rhetoric. It's bogus. There are problems that need to be fixed and there are a variety of options that could be employed to fix them. All legal citizens are the 'right' sort of Americans and every conceivable view held by each and every one is a legitimate opinion for them to hold - and uphold provided that what they want to do and how they go about it conforms with current laws. Moreover, every citizen has the right to have their opinion validated as a policy if they can persuade enough like minded people that it is a good idea. It's called Democracy. Bizarre I know, but there you have it :)

Wow a lot of stuff spilled out of your mouth, just for the record the word "Democracy" I don't even think is in the constitution.

There are American tradition and American values.... people who work to destroy those are in my (highly regarded) opinion "The wrong kind of American.

Just as there are (IMO) the right kind of immigrants and wrong kind of immigrants.

I bet if some White nationalist party were to suddenly rise up you would be the first one to claim they were "un-Amerkin".

Exposing Libs is what I do.

:P

Who mentioned the constitution? It's not relevant to anything I posted so goodness knows why you would bring it up.

There you go again Danno, buying into the bullcrap but then the Tea party supplies you with your mantra so I am not exactly surprised, categorising degrees of Americaness is par for the course. I might not agree with a white supremacists opinions, I might even abhor them, but so long as they confine themselves to voicing those opinions and not acting upon them in ways that bring them outside the rule of law, they can certainly have at it as can you.

Incidentally do you have any idea how odd it is to pat yourself on the back in that way Danno. "Exposing libs is what I do", what does that even mean? Clearly from your perspective it's something you admire in yourself - but from mine it's not only incomprehensible, it's also quite nutty.
