Who knows? The other sad thing about marriages breaking up over this stuff is that the affair rarely works out to be permanent. So you permanently lose a family for a temprorary pleasure. Not worth it unless you have it worked out ahead of time.

Say he leaves his wife and then ends up getting dumped by this other gal. So he's lost his wife and his gf. So what's his next move? That's an easy one. He takes a trip to Kyiv. The guy has full pension coming to him which his wife is going to get half, but that still leaves him with a chunk of money to throw around in Eastern Europe looking for a little hottie.

This case seems like the generic "affair", it happens ...the Clinton thing was different, here you had a guy using his office to procure sex... even sex from lowly people under him such as Paula Jones and the many others.

Apparently the doctor dude wasn't cutting it for her. She wanted the military type guy. A guy who's pro gun and most likely a Republican. The doctor hubby is probably a tree hugging greenie, anti gun nut voting Democrat. That and is the doctor hubby going to keep her around now after she cheated on him for over a year.

I was about to write something about how you meant the 7th commandment, but I just learned that there isn't actual agreement as to the breakdown of the 10 commandments. I didn't realize that. Interesting.

The reality in todays world is that the vast amjority of married people have extramarital sex at some point or another in their married lives. Ignoring that will not decrease the level of divorce in this country, regardless of which "commandment" covers it. Christians know they break these commandments all the time and seek forgiveness and their spouses know they break the commandments all the time and forgive them...except for sex. And the commandment referred to says nothing about sex, it says you shall not "covet" which means "want". Does that mean sexually? Or does it mean you shall not want another man's wife instead of your wife? Their is plenty of evidence of polygamy in the bible, so I am going to assume it does not mean strictly "you shall not have sex with anyone except one wife for your entire life"

Of course you have the "forsaking all others" sticking point, which in itself has many definitions but is usually taken by at least one partner to mean "thou shalt not have sex with anyone else your entire life". In most places now you can wrte your own vows and take care of that detail.

For many people frequent sex and sex with multiple partners is part of their sexuality, they have been defined as "hyper-sexuals". Not "sex addicts" for whom sex disrupts their normal life, just people who use sex, a lot, as a form of recreation. Just as a sexual orientation, it is part of them and who they are. For many of them there is no sexual orientation, just sex. They desire the act and care little what a person carries between their legs. Why should they not have a family and husband and children? What disqualifies them from loving and caring for others by liking sex?

If they are, and CAN BE, honest with their spouse, how is that bad? If they are all grown ups and agree to this, what is the problem?
