"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.

I am thinking you are one of these folks that are inhibited by anything sexual. Most cases of espionage do not involve sex. You are one of those that wouldthrow out your family and ruin their lives if your wife had sex with someone else and think if you have extra marital sex you should be imprisoned and the ground around you salted to prevent anything growing there.

Gary you don't know anything about me, in fact you seem pretty isolated from a lot of life but no need to make this about personal matters rather lets deal with facts.

(You remember what those are dont'cha)

Fact 1. Almost everyone values honesty, is there any doubt the Gen. was deceiving his wife?

Fact 2. The vast majority of people would be hurt to find out their long time spouse was in love with a young hot babe. It will be public and that complicates things even more.

Fact 3. Having this information makes the Gen vulnerable to blackmail by a third party or by the women herself (should she be an agent).

Fact 4. Someone in his position has aided in the disciplinary actions of others down his chain of command for the same offense. How could he excuse himself from the same principles he required of his Military people?

Fact 5. you are an anomaly the vast majority of people value faithfulness of all types in a marriage, at times people naturally fail to live up even to their own standards, often the marriage is severely damaged even if it continues on. Other times they can absorb, learn and move forward even stronger. The "open marriage" concept you are inclined toward..... I suspect is kinda rare in relationships, even more so in marriages and much much more so with folks the Generals age.

When you leverage a person you work on the areas THEY are most vulnerable in... not yours or mine. IF the person is in heavy debt you can work that angle, if they have a family and career, you seek paths to exploit them and then leverage that area for more exploitation.

In other cases, a woman like this could have access to his brief case, laptop, pass words, keys, schedules.

Think about this: What if a foreign source discovered the affair and Leveraged her to get info or else.... her Husband would be told about the affair? She might not even know it is a spy network but rather someone trying to make a buck and so she delivers to save her marriage or job or whatever.

Sex was the last thing this was about on a national security level, though I am sure his wife will have an interest.

1. no, that is a mistake

2. I will take your word for it. I am in love with a hot babe.

3. open marriage

4. open marriage

5. Sex does not equal faithfulness. How many women have you had sex with? How many were you faithful to? Are you faithful to your mother? Have you had sex with her? Equating the two is manufactured BS. I admit I am an anomoly in realizing this.

You cannot leverage someone with something that cannot be used as leverage. Making sex a taboo creates something to be used as leverage. Accepting it as normal behavior everyone desires is the solution.

Ok Gary when you convert the word to your way of thinking then we can stop doing background checks on people in sensitive position.... until your world-wide work is finished, we must continue on.

I hear and I take it your a swinger or in the lifestyle or whatever you call it. That's great if it works for you and I have no problem with it, god knows I have seen my wilder days.

However unless you have all that worked out in advance, then it is betrayal because your doing something that you promised in a vow to your closest friend not to do. Like I said if you don't have that promise then I don't see the big deal. Just because you and your wife agree it's ok to sleep with other people does not mean that works for most.

I don't think you know Gary! Of course it is difficult if you always assume you choose between two stereotypical opposites. Life, and people, come in all sorts of interesting variations.
