Hello everyone! Today is not the best day for me :(... I went to DMV to take my written test with my work permit. Waited in line, they took my paper work, made copies and at the and they said they cant verify my papers, my work permit... When i asked what is wrong they said they dont know but they have to check it again and that they will give me a call :( Did anyone had this problem? Does anyone know what this means? Or what should i do now? Thank you in advance for the answers! God bless you all!

How long have you had the EAD? It might be that it is not in the system yet.

happened the same thing but with my SSN. I went to a SSN office near my home with my EAD, to get my 1st social. Everything went good but the officer told me that he cannot find me yet in the system but he wanted to order my card anyways. He told me that usually takes 2 weeks to be issue but because he cannot find me yet, usually takes more than 3 weeks. Today is my 4th week of waiting and nothing yet :(

Besides waiting for the USCIS system to get updated, it might also have an error in it. When I went with my wife to get her SS updated to remove the note about needing DHS approval, they found USCIS still had her in the system with her maiden name. This was three months after getting her green card. The SS agent contacted USCIS and got them to correct the error, then the new SS card was sent. Fortunately just showing her EAD and/or green card was good enough for a driver's license in our state.
