Hi VJ members! I filed for AOS (from K1 visa) in May 2012 and I was wondering if anyone knows which month California center is reviewing now. If anybody that filed in May or April already had GC approved, please let me know.

It seems USCIS website does not inform the processing times of AOS from family based visas, as they do with the k1 visas or employment based adjustment applications. :crying:

Thanks.

Forgot to add that I had received an RFE in June and after I sent back right away the required document (2011 tax), they sent my case to CSC in July. I know that center is very slow right now and they don't even inform which month they are reviewing. A friend of mine filed in January and was transferred in February and got her GC approved recently in October... So that's the only clue I have of their processing times.

Hope you can send them the document they requested so you can get your GC approved soon.

Have no idea either,I filed mine in April 2012 and was transferred to CSC in May. I didn't get any RFE or something except my EAD.Some of the April and May filers (AOS) have gotten their gc already and they were transferred to CSC. Hoping we'll hear something this month from them.

We applied in late Aug and got approved for the GC in late Oct. We were quite surprised how fast it went and thought they had sped up the whole process. Didn't know it's been taking that long for many of you.

Looks like you had an interview date, so your case was not transferred to CSC, but went to a local USCIS office (plus since August 1st, AOS interview-waived cases are not transferred to CSC anymore). :)

I had no clue about the difference between CSC and USCIS :) . Thought they were the same. Thanks for the clarification.

It's funny because the "explanation" they use when they transfer cases to CSC is that is "to speed up the process" which actually it's quite the opposite. The process takes foreverrrr! A friend of mine got transferred in Feb 2012 and got her GC in October. I will be making a trip abroad at the end of this month and wanted to have my GC already! I will have to use the AP then but preferred the GC.
