My husband REFUSED to get the flu shot during his Medical (for K-1) that he had last December. We submitted our AOS app in May, and it's still pending at CSC. UGH I hate worrying about that stupid flu shot! I don't want an RFE cuz of it! I wish he would have just gotten one when he could have for free! :/ :bonk:

You will not get a RFE for a flu shot. He just have to take the physical. He can get his shots when he come to the united states. It's just much cheaper if he had the shots in his country then the US but, you will be fine. As long as the physical pass.

I lot of GPs won't give them free in the UK if you're not elderly so back off the "free" regret. So here's the rules--if it isn't flu season when the adjudicator picks up his file to do the approving, then no flu shot is needed despite his medical being during flu season. So had the approval come before Oct 1, he would be okay. Or if his case lingers past March 31, he will be okay. But it's more lkely to come before then so an RFE would be in order when it's flu season at medical and flu season when adjusicator reviews the case. I will take a visit to a civil surgeon and an I-693 to clear it. But you can always hope the guy fails to notice the flu shot and approves. Also (not pertaining to his situation)a medical given when it's not flu season also does not have to have a flu shot even if it's flu season at adjudication time. Really unfortunate timing on your part.

Yes I kind of figured that's what will happen. Fingers crossed that they don't notice though :) I guess I shouldn't have used the word "free" but have it included in his medical over there, since he paid for the medical anyway and just add a little more for the flu shot... instead of us having to pay additionally for seeing a civil surgeon here to fix the mistake. Oh well, we'll see what happens! Would be nice if they even looked at our case already :)
