hi, i would like to share my visa interview experience last november 8, 2012...

at 3am i woke up and started to get ready.. after showering i checked all my documents for completeness OCD mode.. lol anyways we left pampanga at 4am and drove all the way to manila im with my supportive family.. hehehe we arrived at the embassy around 5:30am.. saw a huge crowd of people and wondered all of them will be having their interview..ok so jump off the car and asked the guard where is the line for immigrants scheduled 6:30am he pointed where it is and some friendly vendors showed me where the end of the line is. ok so its near baywalk already.. the manila bay is such a nice view in the morning so i started to pray that everything will be okay.. so we waited for almost 45mins.. and the line started to move.. this time you have to prepare your appointment letter and passport.. as soon as you reach the first stop they will put a sticker on your passport and keep it on a ziplock it will be returned back to you.. then you have to go through this huge and heavy doors for security check.. you have to put everything on the xray scanner including folders.. NO CELLPHONES or other ELECTRONIC DEVICES allowed..

after that you will go to a line to a 3 counter where they will give you your stub number,, that number will be so precious to you.. my lucky number is 6186 :) that is almost 7am you will be asked to sit down and start the long wait.. haha you have to focus on the queuing board and try not to miss your number..numbers are flashed randomly so its ok if you wont come at the embassy too early.. hehehe

at around 8:30AM an employee in blue shirt came out and shouted some numbers and i heard my number we followed her.. ok you have to pass the huge heavy door again lol.. there is another security check there.. i went to a window for fingerprint scanning.. the scanner asked my name and birthdate.. you have to scan you 4 fingers on left hand first then right lastly both thumbs.. and said to wait outside again and wait for my number to be flashed..

at around 9:30am the employee with the blue shirt came out and asked if there are still applicants with stub number begins at 61 and asked all of us to enter the bldg because there are available seats there.. i seated and started staring on the queuing board.. its a staring game.lol...

after a few minutes i saw my number flashed.. i prayed a lot while walking towards the window and thinks everything will be fine.. the filipina screener is kinda strict doest smile.. she is checking on my papers and asked my petitioner's name, where he lives, how did we met, when was our relationship started, if we didnt broke up, how did he got in to the US, whats his job, when was the last time i saw him, also asked me to sign the DS230 part 2 and some missing info.. and said ok i can sit now and wait for my number to be flashed again.. i was nervous and constantly praying.. from a glance i can see american consuls asking questions..

after 10mins i saw my number at window 66! omg this is it guide me o Lord.. my heart starts beating so fast.. she is a young american maybe in her late 20s.. very serious looking.. good morning i said.. she replied goodmorning.. she doesnt smile. she asked me to raise my right hand and asked do you swear that you will answer the truth? i said yes.. she started looking at my papers.. she asked how long im married with my husband, do we have any children, whats his job.. shes looking at my papers and the computer.. did you pass the w2? i said yes.. then she saw it and looked at his ITR.. he only made this much last year? i said that is just for 6mos.. when did he entered his job.. i said june 2011.. and then checked his paystubs i saw her crossed out a paper.. and looked at the pc again.. ok you're approved just wait for your name for further instructions.. im so relieved!! thank you i said.. then she pulled down her blinds. im teary eyed.. but i dont want people to see im crying so i looked up. hahaha i whispered a prayer.. that is 10am.. soon i saw some girls beside me saying they are also approved.. we had some chitchats while waiting for the last step.. this is the long wait for me.. all of my seatmates are done but i havent seen my number yet.. huhuhu pls dont let the lunch break cut off come i want to finish and tell my husband about the goodnews.. and then.. they announced to go back at 1pm... :(

im so hungry i went out the embassy and met my parents we had lunch and after that i went back to the embassy at 1pm lots of peopla are already waiting.. i started to get bothered because all of the people are done and im not. i asked the blue shirted employee and said to wait.. ok.. waiting.. waiting... at 1:30 i saw my number finally.... the filipina confirmed my address and cellphone number and said ok i can go home and wait for my visa to arrive..im in cloudnine... im done...

God is so good.. He's always there for me removing all my worries... it was a 4mos journey.. we started filing the application in july, go noa2 aug1, case forwarded to US embassy at sept 21, scheduled my interview at sept 29.. and interview nov8... i cant wait to be with my husband... :):P(L)
