We got our biometrics appointment for November 30 in Santa Ana, Ca. which is a bad day for me. Obviously I am not going to ask to reschedule. However, what do you think our chances are of showing up on November 16 and getting it done then? I know, I know the worst they could say is no but, given other's experience what are our odds? Thanks.

It all depends on who you meet at the front door.I know several people who have been allowed in when its not been busy and have done their biometrics.I tried to go last week and the stupid security guard said no so I will just wait till the 20th, which is my appointed time. Its well worth the try.I would do it if I were you.

10/90, 50/50, and 100/0

I say go, be there in the morning.

Don't get in first time?

Wait an hour, ask again.

Rinse and repeat till you get in, for that day.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

My wife's biometric appt was on the exact date we would depart for Hawaii, so she did the walk-in 2 weeks before the scheduled time. They told her to come back in the afternoon as the technician wasn't there in the morning. Took 10-15 min to get it done. Go for it!

This will depend on the office you go to and how busy they are on that day. The day I went to our local office they allowed people to go in without an appointment. Same for the day we took our daugther.

I suggest you try at 2:00 in the afternoon when the morning rush is over. We've done 3 successful walk-ins at a supposedly very busy office. After lunch the place was empty with the workers hanging around talking to each other.

Here's a thread that people are supposed to add their success or failure to, but it gets lost. And some people don't bother to actually add to the cumulative list so their places are in a post but not in the list. Santa Ana happens to be there. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/367977-thinking-of-early-walk-in-for-biometrics/page__view__findpost__p__5627382
