Hand Delivering Documents

My wife had her interview this week and we found out that we need to file a I-864A. If My wife is back in MNL Can she hand deliver the document? If she does what's the best way to know the right person gets the document?

Should she set an appointment to deliver the document? If she sets an appointment can she ask for a case review to speed along the approval process while she is there?

Thanks to all,

Mark

Don't know if you can take them directly to the embassy, most times the embassy instructs you to drop the needed documents at any 2GO locations (notated with case number, name, address, etc) You can call or email the embassy and ask what they would like you to do. Did they give you a 221g, did it have instructions on it for how to return the document?

Embassy (Manila) Phone Number (and email)

(632) 301-2000, extension 5184 or 5185 (local number: USEM 301-2000 loc 5184/5185 call them around 3-4:30pm)

** (214) 571-1600 or (646) 254-3546 (these are USA numbers)

NEW EMAIL ADDRESS

In order to serve our visa applicants more efficiently, we have created this new e-mail address: IVMNLAppointments@state.gov , for early appointment requests and visa scheduling issues. Please note, however, that early appointment requests will be approved on a case to case basis (i.e., aging out cases, or in cases involving personal or medical emergencies), and only if visa interview slots are available.

For other immigrant and K visa concerns, please send an e-mail to IVManilaReplies@state.gov

.

To enable us to electronically sort the messages and provide better, more timely responses, you should follow the instructions below.

The subject line of your email should indicate the visa applicant’s last name, first and middle name (ex. DOE, John James), case number/USCIS receipt number, visa category and priority date.

Messages should be limited to 500 characters or less. The mail size should not be more than 15 KB.

Do not submit documentation or attachments with your message as our system is unable to receive inquiries with attachments.

Do not send your inquiry more than once as duplicate inquiries will congest our system and delay our response time.

Hank

Most likely you can't hand deliver these additional docs to USEM. Although it didn't exactly say only submit to 2Go office.

The U.S. Embassy/Consulate may give you a 221(g) letter directing you to submit additional documents or information related to your visa application. Your application will be kept on hold at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate until you submit those documents.

All documents and information requested in a 221(g) letter should be submitted at the nearest 2Go document collection office within one year from the date you received the 221(g) letter. Failure to submit the required information within one year will result in the suspension of your visa application. You will be required to submit a new visa application and pay all associated fees in order to continue with your visa application process.

Good luck!

Even after the embassy get the documents they will review the file one more time before issuing the visa so hand delivering would not speed things up.
