I don't know. I don't depend on the state for my healthcare. It seems to be out of fashion even with the self-declared libertarians but I do take care of myself and my family.

Democrats have supported a system of welfare, which you have defended as needed, that has progressed to the point that a college educated person earning $5800 per month ($69,600) per year, working 25 hours per week, is financially BETTER to reduce his income to not more than $2800 per month and make up the difference in benefits. A family with two children would be financially better off unless they are earning more than $6500 per month.

Now people are figuring this out and they are jumping off as taxpayers and becoming beneficiaries. It is kind of silly, but OK with me now, that a person with 2 children needs to earn MORE THAN $6500 per month, $78,000 per year in order to be even ONE DOLLAR better off than they could be on welfare! If they have young children they would qualify for WIC and be even better off. It means two married school teachers with two children would be better off to just teach as substitutes and collect welfare!

Oh well. It is what it is and I am going to use the system you supported and voted for. I thank you. I have never been a slave to fashion.

Why the facetious comment about waste? Clearly, you will benefit enormously from the new health care policy, for whatever reason, but would you care to put forward your reasons why health care should operate more efficiently as a business than as a benefit that living in a large society should bring to everyone, regardless of income merely because the latter is operated under the governmental umbrella? I can't for the life of my come up with a working model that would provide a basis for profit AND adequate provision of care regardless of the condition to be treated or when that condition first appeared and goes on for. Chronic conditions can be profitable, if you are say diabetic (and there's a nice little conspiracy theory you could come up with that would involve current eating habits and profitable medical conditions were you a conspiracy nutter) but there are too may chronic conditions that any insurance company has on its very black list of resource drainers (and therefore limits to profit) that lead to for example, pre existing condition clauses. How is the justifiable in anyone's book if the primary reason for health care is to provide just that, care to those who have impaired health?

I am not debating the issue with you and not trying to come up with models either. I am happy to get my health care and pay $147 per month.

You always said that you do that too but it seems that you were telling lies seeing how you opt to become a leech instead. Gary is a weak person who decided to change his life because Obama won re-election. He would have been able to remain productive had Mitt Romney won but since Obama won, he is incapable of contributing to his upkeep any longer. Gary was forced to become a leech by America electing Obama for a second term. That's his story. Obama's re-election has knocked him the ** out. Now you can either believe that or detect it for the complete and utter bullshite that it is.

Obama won reelection which means we are going to have more of the same. Right now I need to earn more than $70,000 per year to be better off than I can be by reducing my work and income to the level of 33,600 per year. YMMV depending on your state, family situation, deductions, credits, etc. That means ALL money I earn between $33,600 and $70,000 is CONFISCATED from me to pay taxes, medical insurance, medication, food, heating fuel bills, school lunch and breakfast, etc. etc.

Now I can continue to support this system with my work and taxes and payments or I can say "No thanks, I do not want to pay for it anymore, I want to benefit from it" THAT is what I am doing. It is as simple as that, a mathmatical formula. Cost/benefit analysis. I will carefully keep my income below the level needed to maintain the benefits UNTIL Alla finishes school and then we will reevaluate things as we may be able to make MUCH more than the $70,000 at that point and actually have some benefit from our work. In the meantime she can get increased grant money now (Nursing is a non-degree RN program and she is eligible as a citizen for non-degree grants IF her income is low enough, I haven't even counted that yet as we are still checking on it)

Now, you can say I am angry about it, I do not care. I did not support Romney and any number of you have already checked the archives on that. You would probably be better off to use that time to work a few extra shifts to pay for my stuff. I'm gonna need it.

I am a bit surprised to see you refer to people receiving these benefits as "leeches" You must be an RWN like Karl Marx. Think people should just get a job and not be lazy. I did that, the Democrats have made it unprofitable, so I get it. I am going with their program. I am going with what Obama wants, and America voted for! Majority rules!

Want to know the funniest best part? A person can do this and STILL sponsor an immigrant to the USA! Yeah, no foolin'. The threshold for food stamps in our state is 180% of the poverty line, even more for medical care, the threshold for sponsoring an immigrant...125%. Ain't it grand???!!! The government is so thoroughly f*cked up they have no clue what is going on. Fine by me.
