I'm posting in MENA because I am particularly interested in hearing opinions and advice from those who have or will interview at the embassy in Cairo. Other MENA countries welcomed as well ;)

My husband's interview is in 3 weeks...Yay! We have everything finished and all the evidence put together neatly in a notebook binder. So now, we get to sit, wait, and stress LOL. Anyways...I would like your opinion on the evidence I have put together for my husband's interview. I should note that I have been living in Egypt with him since before the wedding.

We have included:

*Pictures from various events; engagement, wedding, honeymoon, living in Egypt, family, and just Peter and Ashley :)

*Facebook screenshots (lots but not a crazy amount haha) showing comments back and forth between he, I, and our families. My mom is always commenting on his facebook. This goes back to when we first became friends and started a relationship over 2 years ago.

*2 months of Skype calls. Only got 2 months because they keep 6 months on file. By the time I started collecting proof, I only had access to 2 months. And because we live together, we don't use it anymore.

*Copy of apartment lease in both our names...and electricity bills we paid here

*Wedding Invitation

*Church wedding certificate (we had a Coptic Church wedding first)

*Reception hall receipt

*Hotel receipts from our honeymoon

*Income tax returns for me and my household sponsor just in case

*US Bank Statements proving I maintain residence in the US...also shows me using my account in Egypt every month

*US Voter Certificate for my Overseas absentee ballot to prove permanent residence in my county and Voter ID card

*I'm pregnant :) Ultrasound printouts and doctors proof such as test results and prescription papers - From previous Cairo reviews, I see they like to give the father a hard time at the interview about this one. Hopefully they will go easy on my hubby :)

*A homemade Happy Birthday card my little brother mailed to hubby last year.

I think that's all the evidence...it may sound like a lot, but you'd be surprised how little it looks when organized neatly in a binder. From experience, does this sound like sufficient evidence for him to give to the CO? I don't know of anymore I can get...so hopefully this will be great. Any advice is certainly welcomed. And if I'm missing anything important, please let me know. All required documents have been submitted....this is just the extra proof :)

Thanks so much for any help!

My husband is from a MENA country and out of all the tons of proof he brought they really only looked at a few pictures and a notarized letter from his father. They didn't even glance at anything else so my guess is with what you have you are good.

Good Luck! :star:

Thanks for the reply! Yep, from reading reviews of Cairo, seems like many people were only asked to show a few photos even though they brought everything but the kitchen sink lol. But I just know if I leave something out...that is what they'll ask my hubby for LOL :)

True! That would be just the luck...

I sometimes wonder if they don't ask for more when they see people come in with tons of proof. They know by looking at the stack chances are you have what they would ask for anyway. I bet it's people with little in their hands that will get asked for more!
