A day off for the DOS

Okay, maybe I am really duh today, but I just called the DOS and the message said they are closed. Is there something going on today that I am unaware of?

All Saints' Day. I used to have it off in Italy. But here? Weird.

DOS sometimes closes a half day on different days of the week and appears that they are doing updates on case files. Try and call back later in the day and you may get an operator as this happened to me several times in the past.

When I called I remember on Wednesdays they took a half day. I think they are only open until 12 on Wednesday.

They take calls again after 1pm on Wednesday. It is a good time to get through without a lot of wait time.

ohh, maybe they are closed the morning then? I can't remember if it's the morning or afternoon but if you say after 1 pm they must be gone in the morning.

I called in the morning, so this made sense. I couldn't call back though, I have been at a funeral all day. I am so glad to have that over with.
