Wifey went for the interview today for her CR1 visa and thank god she got approved.

Everything was smooth except for a 2011 visitors visa, which I stated I was inviting my cousine.

CO questioned her why I stated in the 2011 invitation that she was my cousine.

Wifey challenged CO , demanded that a DNA test be done but CO approved the case.

In all the case was well prepared. So excited....

-Met in Ghana August 2011

-Went back to Ghana April 2012

-Went back to Ghana December 2012

-Married to the man God created just for me on January 4th, 2013.

-Filed the CR-1 in February 2013

-Petition Transfered from National Benefits Center to Texas Service Center October 2013

-Petition APPROVED January 2014 (*Took 10 Months 19 Calendar Days)

-Case Number/Invoice Identification Number Assigned February 2014 (*Took 33 Calendar Days)

-Approved Interview May 2014

-Arrival May 2014

Now, We are Prayerfully taking everything 1 day at a time. Thanking God for his blessings and grace.

Thanks. I was luck to have my expedite approved based on fianacial hardship. Thats why my timeline is shrt.

Congratulations!!!! that was a close call though with both of you pretending to be cousins on an initial application for visitors visa. I tell people be careful what you claim b4 the U.S embassy cos once they have interviewed they have info on file and could always refer to it.

09/15/2012: Got Married
09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK

N-400: (3 months and 12 days)
Filed N-400 : 2011-06-17
Interview: 2011-09-27
Oath Ceremony: 2011-09-30

IR-5 for Mom Entire process took 5 months exactly

so you did write in an initial invitation that she was your cousin?

Yes. But wifey was able to defend herself. Told the CO it was a typo by

the person who helped with the online visa application. But the punchline

was this " Mom are you aware that in the Ashanti culture, u can marry your cousine?'"

CO stated I truly believe your marriage is bonafide but why did you lie

on your first interview? Wife stated once again, it was a typo, but if you are not

convinced, I will be happy to do a DNA test.CO then gave a blue card and stated

" next time dont lie".

My question is if you believe the marriage is bonafide, why waste time on

a previous non-immigrant application? lol

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
