Really? 42% of those polled leaving the polling station said they voted for Obama because of his handling of Sandy. The second largest group thought Obama would be better on foreign affairs. Romney's support came from those folks who thought he would do better at creating jobs and improving the economy.

One would have expected shifts in the polls towards Obama in the days immediately following Sandy's landfall. That did not happen. Obama picked up momentum prior to Sandy's landfall.

It boggles my mind that there is not a single viable candidate in such a big country. Surely there must be somebody with high morals, highly accomplished, straight forward, yet conservative at heart who can be found to run as the Republican candidate in 2016.

As a politician, he has consistently shown that, when elected, he takes the responsibility of representing his constituents - all of them - seriously, regardless of the circumstances. The aftermath of Hurricane Sandy was no exception.

As a bonus, the debates should be fun to watch.
