Rich white folks eh? So if Romney had offered amnesty to the est. 11 million illegals here along with more free stuff for poor people he might have had a chance eh?

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/sean-hannity-john-boehner-gop-tackle-immigration-reform-142212570--election.html

You tell us, since now the GOP is "evolving" on the subject. And please for Pete's sake, what is the free stuff? I would love to get some free stuff, hell on Sunday/Monday all of the restaurants are giving free meals to vets, count me in:)

The Repubs didn't offer amnesty to illegals and more free stuff.

Well said.

Can somebody please check my front porch for boxes that have arrived?

I'm too lazy getting off my couch to check for my free stuff.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Oh my god, it's like talking to a f*cking wall.

Republicans and their extreme anti-immigrant attitudes is what drives minorities away. Blame Obama all you want, but it's your own party's damn fault.

You claim we don't answer your questions, but we are. You're the one ignoring the question I've asked you five times. Why didn't the white vote show up for Romney? Republicans counted on it and it didn't happen. Why?

I am not blaming Obama for anything and have never implied that. I will answer your question when one of you answers mine. What exactly is it that Obama does for Hispanics and blacks that make them support him so overwhelmingly . This is called staying on topic. I will not diverge into something else because non of you can answer. Call me racist call me dumb, try to make this about gays all you want. Until you either answer or just admit you don' t know . Then I am on topic. I get you all think he cares more about them. Got that. I care about I care about the homeless . That is a feeling. I volunteer and head a group to feed them that is an action.

I am looking for action items. Got any ?

P.s. so I am anti immigration now. ? Guess I will tell my wife her aos papers will have to wait ? yes.gifyes.gif You guys crack me up

Plenty of people have answered you. Democrats being more accepting of minorities IS an answer. There's nothing absurd about it. It's not as if the DREAM act made them flock to the Democrats for the first time ever.

Again, why do you think white people didn't vote for Romney the way Republicans thought they would?

Dems are more accepting. . Don't suppose you have examples

The Republican party has an anti-immigration attitude. If you disagree, then ... you aren't paying attention. I didn't say YOU were anti-immigration. You are not the Republican party.

Republicans themselves admit that it's an issue, just mere days after the election. Shame you can't see it.

The President believes that everyone is equal and has the same rights.

Most republicans believe the only people that matter are rich white folks.

That is enough of a reason for people who are not rich white folks to vote for Obama.

It's a 2 party system. You have to vote red or blue. If you believe the red team are gonna sh*t all over you and look after their rich friends then you vote blue.

It doesn't matter whether you believe that the minorities who voted for Obama did the right thing. They did what they thought was the right thing and they are entitled to use their vote any way they wish. You can dissect it all you want and debate it until your blue in the face (or should that be red) but it won't change the result. Obama still won.

So your opinion is Obama believes all people are equal and repubs are racist rich folk.

So your specific examples of action items that support your theory is .?...

So repubs are anti immigration. You have an example to back this up. ? I have never heard a repub try to stop immigration .

Ps. Come. With anything yet on what Obama ma has done for minorities to make them support him yet . Be specific please

Republicans admit they're extreme when it comes to immigration. And yet you act like I'm making it up. Cute. :)

There are two politically relevant parties in this country. One of the two is looking down on minorities pretending that people belonging to minorities are lazy, stupid, incapable leeches all just out to mooch off the white folk. People of that party do not generally see minorities as "real Americans" but like to characterize them as "others". You can see that ugly attitude in this very thread, in P&R generally and across the entire right wing echo chamber.

Now, the other party works to integrate minorities and accepts them as members of this society that are just as valuable as everyone else. Members of this party believe that minorities are people with hopes and dreams and ambitions and goals and that minorities - just like anybody else - strive for a better life for their children. This party believes that minorities are every bit as American as the rest of the country.

Minorities generally do not feel as welcome in and represented by the former party as they do in and by the latter. It's not hard to see why.

You just told me your feelings . I keep asking all of you what Obama does for minorities that repubs don't and no one can give examples. Is it that hard

Can anyone tell me why the white vote didn't pan out the way Republicans swore it would? Anyone?

Just wondering what Obama did to make THAT happen..

I need help. I'm confused. Can somebody please analyze me?

  • I am white, of Aryan descent, blue eyes, dark blond hair, 6'6" tall
  • I am a male
  • I am doing quite well in today's economy
  • I am married to a white woman with some Scottish blood in her otherwise pure DNA
  • I have underlying racist emotions, don't like the idea that the Latino population was 22 million in 1990, 52 million in 2011, and is projected to be 137 million in 2050
  • I do not support the DREAM Act the way it is drafted right now
  • I do not support gay marriages

So, you'd prima facie assume that I am the perfect Romney supporter. Yet I voted for Obama.

Why did I do that?

Was I molested as a child?

Am I a homosexual in denial?

What is it?

Help!

Who claimed you were any of those things?

I am sure plenty of people like you voted for Obama because Romney was not a good alternative.

The Republicans, however, were counting on people JUST LIKE YOU to vote for them. And they didn't. And they don't know why.

Because of affordable health care.

You've posted about it before. Quite eloquently I might add.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.
