Hello! Was thinking I could post this here since we have the biggest opportunity to travel so someone here might have done this. I was wondering if my husband had to get his medical done in canada, or if we were in the US visiting at that time, he could get it done there?

We would have to travel out to toronto to get it done here which is costly, but there is a civil surgeon right down the street by my parents in IL so I was hoping we might be able to get it done while on holiday down there next year.

Also, how much is the guy in toronto? I think I read like 250? Same price in the US? Is there a list of these prices?

The medical exam must be done by one of the panel physicians that works with the Montreal Consulate.

Yes. I had contacted the Montreal Consulate this year and asked them the same thing. Here is their response:

Good day,

Montreal U.S. consulate will only accept medical examination performed by a designated physician in Canada provided in the following link.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3739.html - for Medical Exam requirements

I hope that this information may be useful.

Sincerely,

Sorry I know. That sucks and you only get a copy of the vacination sheet with that office. I think that I read on the Canadian forum that the office in Montreal will give you a copy of the whole medical.

Well apparently the other doctor is only 250. so let's hope his prices don't rise in the next 4 or 5 months
