Singledad , why do you think it will still shows on the card ? Even with my working permit, do you think it will show still?

Actually only my lawyer received the receipts. But weird thing is i applied I-360, 485,and 765 all together then my lawyer received two receipts of each applications. One is under my name and the lawyer's office address on. And the other one was the lawyer's name with his address as well.

I didnt receive anything to my home address.

Irara when did you applied ? I applied like March 8 week.. Still i dont get receipts.

Hi Sandraj,

I went to social security office today to get SSN i brought everythin with me passpport, Birth cert., employment authorization from immigration and marriage certificate. the Vietnamese lady ask for my ead and she ask my passport and then i showed her my passport and ead after that she ask me if how many times ive been travelling back to the US i told her ive been travelling back here in us every year and she ask me again how long was my stay here everytime i visit US ii told her i only stay here for 3 months then i go back in phil but now since i got married i stay here in US for good. Then she told me that she has to verify my status in INS because my name doeant exist on her computer she told me that i will wait for 4-6 weeks! i feel embarassed when she told me that she has to call the uscis first before she can issue me ssn everybody in the office could hear her... do they really have to question my status? eventhough i have my work permit? and i have pending adjustment of status.

CONGRATS AVK

I APPLIED IN DECEMBER ALSO, ON THE BEGNING OF THE MONTH ACTUALLY, BUT STILL NO REQUEST FOR EVIDENCE OR APPROVAL YET, HOPEFULLY MY WILL COME SOON TOO.

i JUST APPLIED FOR MY 5TH PRIMA FACIE.

I HOPE THEY SEND AN APPROVAL LETTER INSTEAD OF ANOTHER PRIMA FACIE. EVERYTIME I RECEIVE A LETTER FROM IMMIGRATION I GET EXCITED THINKING THAT IS MY APPROVAL. WHAT MAKES IT WORSE IN MY CASE IS THAT I CAN'T CHECK MY CASE STATUS ONLINE. SINCE I APPLIED IT SAYS " YOUR CASE CANNOT BE FOUND AT THIS TIME" SO I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR MY APPROVAL IN THE MAIL.

SANDRANJ IS THERE ANY REASON WHY MY CASE DONT SHOW ON ONLINE CASE STATUS?

IS THERE A WAY TO ASK THEM TO PUT IT ON THERE SO I CAN CHECK MY CASE ONLINE?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP SANDRANJ

Bless_me your name has to show up in their system otherwise they have to contact Uscis. It's common to check with immigration and I saw several cases they had to contact Uscis.

Ok thank you so much Sandraj. I thought my case was unusual.

Hi Bless_me,

The same thing happened to me, I got my SSN a couple of weeks after I applied for one. They had to verify my name too. And told me to wait from 4 to 6 weeks but I got mine in the mail in 2 weeks time. So don't worry you'll get your Social

may I ask you what use you make of the actual card? Why does it make any difference whether the Card arrives in 2 weeks or more weeks? As long as you know your SSnumber - what difference does the card make, and where?

P.S. If the actual card takes time to be issued and received thru the mail, you can use SSA letter specifying your SSnumber and bearing their stamp
