lorphelpme to attend AOS interview is taking 4/6months.

Hey Sandranj my friend that is in deportation wants to known when she gets approve how long does it take to get her deportation cancelled she says her lawyer said if she gets approve he has to send a request of cancellation to the judge and when it its granted she can apply for i485. So she is wondering how Long does the judge take to do the cancellation her lawyer gave her an estimate of 1-3 months. Is there a faster way to do it.

Also thanks for the response to my question.

Today I receive a notification in my Mail that they approve My EAD Finally after 3 1/2 month!!! ? thank God!!!

it says:

On March 12, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State.  For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Now my question is.... what is the NEXT step after this??? does it mean that i dont have to get a Biometric? because i already have my Biometric when i was with my husband....

I did not renew EAD. This is my first time I applied for I-765..So I'm wondering if I need to do biometrics...I'm really happy I was approved for work permit though I have removal. I just sent all my paperworks last Feb.22, 2012..I got the receipts but I don't have prima facie yet. Thank you..

Hi sandranj thanks for inviting me to this thread im still navigating my way around the site to all the ladies here I pray God brings this to a positive end for us all and we receive our permanent residency. Sandranj I read a post one time where the woman son was also called into the interview he was the step-son of her abusive husband. Is this so?

Faithkeeper welcome here. USCIS can contact any person that gave you an affidavit in suport of the vawa case.In the case you mentioned probably the Vawa filer mentioned her son witnessed the violence and he was available to give any aditional information and because of that they contacted he son. They are not allowed to call the abuser of course.

I heard a case also like this but the son was also getting his green card because his father suffered abuse from his wife and was on the petition so the son was also ask to come in with the father
