DOMINIQUE, i meant to say, yes you have to send G-325 (biographic info) along with I-864w( affidavit of support waiver),G-1145(if you want to be notified via text or email),G-28(Notice of appearance of Attorney),I-693(Medicals),I-912(Request of fee waiver if u need one with supporting documents)and other forms you might need like I-765(For EAD if you need one), just follow the I-485 instructions and its all there.Just make sure you include everything at once cos if you don't u will get RFE which will delay your case.

Goodluck

I'm glad you are getting your green card it makes me have hope. I have a question how long did it take for you to receive your notice when your I-360 got approved? I'm still waiting for my notice! ?

Doominique you have to submit some documents along with your AOS such as:

• copy of birth certificate, along with an English translation

• a copy of the Form I-797, Notice of Action (showing that the VAWA self-petition, Form I-360 was approved);

• 2 color photos taken within the last 30 days (see form I-485 instructions for more details);

• copy of you original marriage certificate;

• copy of F divorce decree) for all previous marriages and with the batterer as well, if you are divorced;

• copy of your passport, if available;

• copy of your I-94 card, if available;

If you are going to send your AOS to Chicago then you must send again proof of bonafide marriage, but if you will submit to Vermont you don't need to submit proof of bonafide marriage because I am assuming you submitted along with form I-360.

Sandra I need help I received my approval notice an along with it I received a notice that says: USCIS has decided to place this case under defferred action which is an administrative choice to give some cases lower priority for removal. Therefore USCIS does not anticipate instituting action for removal at this time.,,,,,,,,I don't really know what that means??? Help!

Hey sandranj I have a question on behalf if my friend who is in deportation. If her case gets approved does she have to send something to the court saying that it was approved or does she have to go to show them or does the approval cancels our the deportation automatically and she doesn't have to do either or and just send in get i485 to Vermont or Chicago.

Thanks everyone i'm very happy, hopefully i'll get my GC soon enough in the mail & then start planning my trips, apart from going to go see my family,i want to travel around the world a lil bit.I've been working hard to save for that.I just need a lil break to myself.

Honestlove, you will have to request an extension of prima facie 15days to expiration, attach the blue form that came with the previous one so they can match you up with your file with the note requesting the extension.

Optimisticchic yes VAWA applicants can send I-485 to Chicago, you must attach everything sandranj listed above as well as your approved I-360 which is what qualifies you to file & you must attach the fees.But if you are requesting a fee waiver, then you must send to VSC.

Lorphelpme, your friend will have to go to the court with the approved I-360 to have the judge admistratively close the deportation case, only then can she file for AOS.No automatic closure,she will have to go have that done in person by self or with her lawyer.

Cc1988, i got deferred action with my approval notice, its no big deal,its just to say that you are protected from deportation.

I know Sandranj will throw in some light as well.

I'll be here always and goodluck to those that are still waiting, your approval is on the way.I saw in the news today that the President signed the VAWA bill reauthorization so things should go a lot faster this year now that the funds will be released to keep them very functional.So keep hope alive

Optimistichick here is the thing some people send to Chicago form I-485 after Vawa approval,but Chicago redirects to Vermont.Some lawyers say it's a bit fast, but I can't assure you. I advise everyone to send to Vermont. Uscis clearly states "The beneficiary of an approved I-360 based on the eligibility category "battered spouse/children and you are filling to adjustment of status you should file it with Vermont."

Thank you for your input, after you got approved did you have to do anything? My lawyer said we applied for the I-485 when we first applied for I-360 and I've already had biometrics done when we first applied. My lawyer says all I have to do is wait for my I485 to be approved . Is that how your process went too? Right now it just says that my I485 is in initial review.

lorphelpme tell your friend her lawyer must file a Motion with the Court to TERMINATE her removal proceedings and then she can request Adjustment of Status before the USCIS.As soon the Judge grant it the deportation proceedings will be terminated, and she can submit an application for Adjustment of Status ok.
