Sandranj....so l asked my lawyer why he was charging me $75 for inquiry and he said e had to drive all the way to my local uscis office to inquire about my case(which is in VSC) and plus the parking fees...l dont get it...or is it easier to inquire from the local office?anyway how long does it take to receive an RFE?my case status says they sent me one on jan 31 then it changed to feb 4th but havent received it..i,m starting to get worried now bcos time is running out if they sent it.

That is strange your lawyer made you pay extra. I hired a lawyer in Virginia to bring my fiance to US and she charged me only a flat fee. Maybe you should get a new lawyer.

I just messaged you information for the lawyer I used. You should ask for your money back if you are not happy with your lawyer. I fired two lawyers before I found a good one. Good luck!

Hello Everyone.., I just want to confirm if its True the Senate has agreed to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act,!! According to the Speach President Obama gave today today at 8.30 P.M.!! Anyone please say something

myssimd there is a girl here from visa journey waiting to receive her RFE since May 2012. I advised her to send a letter asking Vawa unit to resend the RFE,she sent a letter to Vawa Unit and they didn't resend the RFE, then I told her to call Vawa Unit to inquire about it, she called them twice and they didn't send the RFE.I told her to write to the Uscis ombudsman, she filed the ombusdman form 3 months ago inquiring about her case, she didn't get any answer yet. I told her go to the infopass, she went to the infopass and explained she didn't get the RFE, but after infopass appointment Vawa unit didn't send the RFE , last week I told her call your congress man now, she called her Congressman and until now USCIS didnt send the RFE.Well she has ALL proof necessary to challenge eventually denial of her case. It shows in the Uscis web site they mailed her the RFE in May 2012, but she never got the RFE until now. Since may 2012 she renewed her prima facie and her EAD, but they didn't resend the RFE yet, as you can see sometimes they suck,lol

Hey everyone it's been a while since I have been on.like you guys know I got my RFE in December and am finally sending my response to vsc. It was a long process to gather all my documents so now am back in on the waiting line. Loveme,liveurlife,sisi,optimistic chic, how's everything going with your case hope you guys and everyone has been getting good news. Sandranj how are you doing? You guys are always on my mind but am finally BACK with my vj family lol.

akumu the Senate passed today the violence against women acts despite GOP opposition, now moves to the house. House and Senate must reach an agreement in order for Vawa to be expanded to protect gays, lesbians, undocumented immigrants and Native American women who suffer from domestic abuse. Well done Sen. Patrick Leahy!

Regarding your friend probably he will get the Vawa letter this week, if he/she didn't receive the letter this week then it's time to call them.

Vawa Family,

Thank you all for the support. I have not been active lately just have been overwhelmed. But I just wanted to share some good news. My I-360 has been approved. Applied in May 2011. So for those who are waiting do not give up or lose hope. Instead keep praying and the lord will answer.

Good luck to all waiting don`t lose hope and you are in my prayers.

Bless me they didn't adjudicate yet, but because she couldn't answer the RFE probably they will deny soon or later, but we tried everything possible and they didn't resend the RFE,now we have to wait and see how it will unfold, but she has tons of proof that she asked them to resend again then we can challenge any denial based on that.
