Yes I filed it together with my I-360 and I-485. My lawyer use c31 category for I-765 work permit its taking a long time for my work permit I don't know why. How about you?

Yes I already got NOA and Prima facie I'm now waiting for my I-765 to get approve I'm wondering if my lawyer use the correct category for I-765. It's been 2 months and no ead yet

Imagine havent heard anything since then.,my lawyer told me there probably waiting to see if my vawa gets approved first for them to approve my WorkPermit.

Optimistichic!! Imagine am Still waiting. havent heard anything since then..,my lawyer told me that it will keep pending until my Vawa is approved first. So am just waiting for Vawa to be approved first so that my Workpermit to be approved and then i shall file I-485.

Bless me why did your lawyer file form I-765 using category 31? it means you will have your work permit just after approval of your Vawa, it will take between 15/19months, the category he chose is just for those with Vawa approved. If you want to work right away and your husband is an US Citizen he should file work permit using category C9 and then you will receive the work permit in 30/60 days. He screwed up big time, if you paid for the work permit fees and his fees he should file form I-765 category C9(if your husband is american) and you should not pay the Uscis fees and his fees as well since he was the one who screwed up.

The law is clear

EAD for individuals with pending application for adjustment of status (I-485) the category is C9

ruth051948 as far I understood in other thread that you posted your wife got her green card. She can't file vawa, she will ROC(I-751) or based in bonafide marriage or in abuse, but in vawa cases or ROC you won't have access to her case, since USCIS will provide informations just to the petitioner or to her/his lawyer. Don't worry about finding out about her case, you have the police record stating that you were battered, then you are good.

Sandra,is it really taking 30/60days to get work permit nowadays? It seems vermont is as slow as anything. I filed last week Nov/early December but still no word. Don't know my receipt number as my attorney is refusing to give it to me. I just hope i get it soon.

Sandra, My lawyer told me that i could also get my work permit using Category ©(31) she said thats what she use on her previous VAWA case that she filed. She told me i have to be patient waiting... and yes my husband is a USC he applied me work permit before i already have my Biometric done and my ead was about to send that time but my husband withraw the application so my ead got revoked. That's why my lawyer file new AOS and EAD. BUt it was taking so long im WORRIED

My lawyer Filed i-360 and i-485 together with my i-765 NOV. 27, 2012 until now i havent receive my EAD. I receive Prima Facie already and Receipt # im only waiting for my ead! im so worried if my lawyer made some error i dont know why taking so long she told me to be patient it takes 90 days....to get EAD
