finally26122012 I know the verysadguy story from the beginning and I can assure you that he is not an abuser, he was scammed. You are right she gave him a child, but when pregnant she was sending pictures of her pregnant belly to her lover when still married and living with him. He has full custody of his child for just one reason, she just gave birth to a baby girl, but she is not a mother.I am advocate of victims of domestic violence almost 20 years, and I would never side with abusers, but unfortunately there are fraudster/scammers and she is one of them.He is a great father, and I know his story very well.

Verysadguy you should have your own thread, because most people here don't know you or about your story.

finally26122012 I advise you to call NVC before requiring Consular Processing for you children. I will tell you the steps the Immigration law states in order for consular processing, but as i said before do not follow what I am saying before calling and confirming with them, because I saw that some Countries have a different approach for Consular Processing.

The first thing to do after I-360 approval you have to send to Vermont form I-824( request for action on an approved petition)requesting them to forward the approval referent the children to the NVC. BE CAREFUL NOT TO ASK OR TO LIST YOUR NAME ON IT,otherwise they will forward you case to have interview abroad and you don't want that, list JUST your children. The Uscis will forward the approved I-360 after your request to the NVC and then NVC will forward to the us Consulate in your home Country .The Us Consulate will issue the immigrant visa for your children. You need to have someone smart and that you can trust in your home country to provide the documents that the US Consulate will ask regarding your children, the Us Consulate will send packet 3 and 4 with the instructions in your home Country and there are several forms they have to file out. I repeat myself CALL NVC first and make sure that in your home Country they use this kind of Consular Processing.Tell your children are living abroad and they are "derivative beneficiary" of your I-360, and your petition was approved. Ask if you should send form I-824 to Vermont asking them to send the case to the NVC, do not forget to inform that YOU ARE adjusting status in the USA, but your children will get their Green card abroad.

jesse007 you don't have a case number yet then to send a request withdrawing without a case number will be a big problem, because they won't be able to match your request to your case. Set up an appointment with infopass to figure out your situation.Good luck.

I'm getting married in march. Doesn't getting married automatically end your vawa case?

Or do we need to write a letter and tell them?
