Dewave2 it seems your interview went fine, but what she told you i never heard in 23 years being a lawyer. First of all is common to put a hold in the Aos form.We have here several cases like that, second if she sends your form I-485 to Vawa unit they won't be able to match your vawa case because there is no vawa case filed yet!.They will send it back to the local office again your I-485.Last week two girls from VJ attended the AOS interview, one girl in Florida and another one in San Diego and in both cases the adjudicators put a hold in their cases and asked to bring the prima facie in 30 days.Well run and file your Vawa. You are good.I told you not to sweat man.

Dewave2 - 'Vermont' is where you will file your VAWA i-360. That is why she would be sending it there. When you file i-360 you can file concurrent i-485 and i-765 with it if your spouse is USC. So if she is sending it there then i would take an educated guess that is is waiting for your i-360 and new i-765 to join it. Of course when you file those i would certainly state in your cover letter that you wish to join them together! Well done on getting through all of that I know you were nervous but it sounds like you did well!

04/24/2012 - VAWA I-360 Received by VSC

05/02/2012 - Receipt Notice Issued (received in hand on 5/08/2012)

04/18/2013 - Touched (acknowledgment of correspondence received by USCIS)

04/26/2013 - I360 APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

05/02/2013 - Received in mail approval notice (dated 4/24/2013 - a year to the day that i filed!) and notice of deferred action.

06/24/2013 - i-485 Transferred to NBC "to speed up processing"

07/03/2013 - RFE for medical

10/10/2013 - RFE response mailed, a few days late - praying that its still accepted!

37sells what you described is not dewave2 case.He is not submitting I-485 along with forms I-765 and I-360. He had a I-485 pending. He didn't file form I-360 yet . My concern is that the Uscis district office is sending his I-485 to Vawa unit in Vermont, but to join what??? there is no vawa filed yet and Vawa Unit has no idea if dewave2 will file form I-360 or not, then there is a big chance that Vermont will send it back to the district office his file,of course if he had a pending Vawa case the form I-465 would join his Vawa petition, but there is no Vawa case yet and his form I-485 will not make sense to Vawa Unit since they don't have a vawa case pending as i said before.

dewave2 i recommend after you getting prima facie to send it a copy to the district office, in case they get back your file I-485 at least they will know you filed Vawa and they won't start removal proceedings against you, because as I said to 37shells there is no vawa filed yet and Vawa Unit has no idea if you will file form I-360 or not, then there is a big chance that Vermont will send it back to the district office your form I-485.

At least with his file being ping-ponged around it will buy him some time to get the I-360 VAWA filed which should be done asap.
