Yagana, can you post up your basic timeline please?

verysadguy....are you fishing for your wife here?

i read in another forum that your other half used and scammed you..

i do not have anything against you but i do not believe that your presence on this vawa forum is for the sole purpose of "helping " us.

i get angry at fakers and posers!

please stick to your investigation and leave us alone....stop asking people their timeline when you only have one objective : finding your wife who i assume from your other forum thread used you and has filed vawa!!!!!

good luck anyhow ,i do not condone what she did .nobody should be ever taken advantage of!

I'm not fishing for anyone. I'm trying to understand the timelines and why they are so long and some are different.

I'm a good guy with a good job and pay taxes in the USA for many years.

Don't be negative. I believe in fairness and justice. I dislike scammers, liars, and con artists.

For the truly abused men and women here, I wish you luck and justice. That is "supposed to be" the USA. But the cheaters should go home. We don't need those people here in the USA. That is my opinion.

I think that Sandranj, Darnell, and JimmyV all are fair and give good advices to many, but remember many of the VAWA claimants here are not all telling the truth. Let's be realistic about human behavior and desperation. God bless you all regardless and Happy Holidays.

And you know this how?

Extrapolating your personal experience to a broad spectrum is childish. I'm sure there are many people on this board who can tell you horrific stories of their encounters. But they know that sometimes, unfortunately, life is just like that. Unfair. Bad things happen, bad people exist. We live and we learn, and life moves on. If I keep wasting my time wondering why my former abuser had to pick me, or trying to exact revenge, I'd be wasting valuable time that I could use in educating and protecting myself from it ever happening again. A lot of people have given you advice in your thread, and I hope your situation gets settled in a way that's best for you and your baby. But please, don't add to the abuse that some others looking for information here might still be experiencing. Your actions might scare people who feel their abusers are tracking their online activity, and they may be too scared to post here to request help.

Maybe verysadguy should not post here, but I know his story very well. He was scammed by his wife and she was cheating on him.He didn't abuser her. When she was pregnant and emailing picture of her belly to her lover he forgot her and gave her a second chance. She kept cheating on him.The DNA confirmed the baby was his child. She chose to left him and the baby child to be with her lover. It's a sad story. He is getting all help possible from Uscis to have this case solved.Everything i just told here he posted in Visa Journey then I am not posting any secret here. What he shared with me of course I wont post here.He was really scammed. He is a good father and he was a good husband as well.Everyone knows here I am attorney and advocate for victims of domestic violence and I own a non profit organization who helps victims of domestic violence.I would never defend an abuser. They are scumbags that should be encarcerated and they should not be allowed to walk in our streets, but we have abusers, victims and scammers.

I wrote he forgot her i meant he forgave her. I agree with the girls and guys here this thread is for the victims.A few months ago here in the VJ i realized that the abuser found his victim here and both were using the same thread i reported to VJ and the abuser was blocked to use the thread. Verysadguy you have your thread keep posting there.Regarding your question vawa unit has 25 adjudicators and every week each adjudicator receive same number of cases to adjudicate but some adjudicators are faster than others plus many people get RFE and then their cases are put on hold until they receive the RFE answer.I am using my phone sorry for mispeling words.

So, with all the research I am doing to try and file as soon as possible, the one thing I am yet to know, is what exactly happens once I file? Can anyone help explain the process to me.

I know that obviously once I file, the case has to be looked at in some way, will it automatically be accepted, or is there a chance of it being denied straight away for any reason? Or do all cases have to go through the process?

I understand, that if there are any RFE's, then those will occur.

Once all the info has been received, my documents will be looked over. I'm certain at some point, my wife will be called in to be questioned in regards to my personal statement. Will this be in person?

Once this has occured, who actually makes the decision? Does it happen before a judge?

Just thought I would try and get all the info I can!

I posted this in a separate thread, but im going to keep everything here now!

Here's the post I promised earlier Dewave2. Hope it helps.

Sorry about your experience Dewave2.

Here's the information I said I'd give you in your other thread.

Worst case, call the National Domestic Violence hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (1-800-799-7233)

EDIT: Found another link for California through the National Domestic Violence Hotline resource page: http://www.cpedv.org/ - Seems the most legit, and their front page shows they provide help in finding help for shelter, legal, and immigration issues.

God bless.

Thank you ever so much for this help! I HOPE that from it, I have found something, I'll know more tomorrow once I visit there to see if I can have any psychiatric help!

dewave2 you can get help from pro bono lawyers, but please ask if the lawyer is specialized in Vawa cases, ask how many Vawa cases he/she handled in the last 5 years. Do not submit your Vawa case if you don't have a police certificate ,a psychological evaluation. If you don't have an AOS interview set up yet then you can wait to send your Vawa case to Uscis until you have your psychological evaluation done. Make sure you changed your address with USCIS filing out form AR11 online, wait 10 days and call 1800 number and make sure they updated your address, in most of the cases they didn't update yet and you have to call 2,3 times, but you have to change online first.

If you can't find any lawyer to represent you, if you want send me your own affidavit and I review for you. Keep in mind I won't represent you, but I will review your affidavit and documents and tell you if there are documents missing in your case ok. I don't know if you have a vawa case. I need to know first about your story. I am not saying is your case, but many people were married with men/women suffering substance dependence and they were mean, selfish, but it doesn't mean because some people have an addiction they are abusers. You have to prove you suffered EXTREME MENTAL ABUSE. You have to prove you changed the person you are right now due the abuse suffered, show them you are suffering from depression or anxiety or having or had panic attacks etc...

I reviewed hundreds of mental abuse cases and most of them were not considered extreme mental abuse, they were married with the wrong person, mean person, selfish husband, but the dynamic of the relationship did not show mental abuse. You need to prove you were subjected to control, humiliation, degradation, jealousy etc. All mental abuse cases I handled Uscis approved, but I considered their cases extreme before sending to Vawa Unit.I handled cases of mental abuse where the husband used to go out and tell the wife he had a date in that night with other woman, showed her pictures of some girls he was dating, other case they were married 8 years, 2 children, she never went to the market, never had an appointment with a doctor or dentist, she could not use the land phone or internet, she wasn't even allowed to go outside the house to get her mail, other girl tried to kill herself to escape the abuse, of course each case is unique but USCIS just approve EXTREME MENTAL ABUSE.

did you send me your affidavit before or not? I can't recognize people by their nicknames here tho,lol

Thank you for all your help once again!

I haven't sent you my affidavit yet no, but I will as soon as its complete! It is amazing of you to offer, all of the help I can get right now I'm going to need, so thank you for the offer! I should have it close to complete in the next couple of days.
