believe, the VSC processing time say June 2011, wondering how you were able to have a July 2011 processed faster than most?

No clue. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. My Catholic charities lawyer said they were receiving a few RFE's for submissions filed around the same time, so they were expecting an RFE for me.

August 1st 2012 - Received EAD

Hope no one else has to wait this long for a transfer. Its the hardest thing when you've been approved but still feels like torture. I was thinking all this would be over by now. Then after my file goes to NBC there's another waiting and then more waiting again at my local office for an interview date. I'm sorry guys for venting here, I'm having one of those rough nights.

loveme please take heart. Indeed you have passed over the hardest hurdle, so your light will soon be in front of you. It's always darkest before dawn.

Who knows, you may not even have an interview since you've waited this long.

Lorphelpme your lawyer is not good my dear, first of all you don't have to pay to file form I-485 and I-75 you can't afford. You just need to submit form I-912 ans ask Uscis to waive the fees and they usully approve without any problem.

missymd you can still apply for your work permit and I485 by yourself. Fill out the forms, fill out the I-912 for a fee waiver (attach a letter stating your lack of income, and your expenses), and send with it with your request to renew prima facie. You don't have to pay $2000 to a lawyer. It doesn't even cost $2000 to file those two forms together!

hello friends.

I just sent out today an envelope with the forms to renew my work permit. Hopefully they will send it to me. I m afraid they will ignore it because I have an attorney on file. But my attorney want more money to file my work permit renewing, My contract with him is till march so I though that he was suppose to do everything for me till march, included renew prima facial ,work permit etc. but i guess i was wrong because when i ask him to renew my work permit , he said that he will charge me for that. I don't have money so i sent it my self.

Also I don't know if you guys seen it but VSC updated their processing time on their website and unfortunately it still showing that they are work on JUNE 2011, I m wondering if that is correct because its been showing the same month for almost a year now. For that to be true there must be at least 5 thousand applications received for vawa in june 2011. Crazy ....
