Young seattle once you left USa without having your Vawa case adjudicated you will be able to return to USA just when you get your Vawa case approved. The I-131 travel document is related to your reentry to wait the adjustment application to be adjudicated. Your case is different from those inside Usa,in your case you will get the I-131 just when they approve your case. The deadline you received is not regarding to issue form I-130, it was regarding to have your case adjudicated, once you answered the RFE they told you would hear from them in a few days.

Hi sandranj: I understand what you said, US law protect privacy, even I asked help from my state Senator, who asked me fill in the Privacy form based on 1974 Privacy law, I emailed my therapy doctor, giving them authority to hand in my report, actually I already signed my application form during my therapy test last January.

I emailed my boss or my mentor, who tried to help me find attorney before, obviously it is too late for this, I think my vawa result will come not later than this month. maybe God let me just stay put with my parents in Auckland, life is life, anywhere woking and paying taxes.

Hi sandranj: my I-131 and I-130 are still like this, maybe soon change to never coming back to Seattle again, although I am still married with my USC wife for 3.5 yrs.

Initial Review

On March 28, 2011, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.

Hi sandranj: I asked San Diego online attorney, who said probably USCIS denied my I-131 is due to my overstay my student visa in Seattle. he said there is double standard for male and female in VAWA, men usually have higher chance to lose their vawa cases. he recommand me find some attorney, pursue some moral help from my wife's side. I am really in puzzle, it seems like Davinci's Code,no ask and no talk.

They printed my card with the photo that I sent in with the application, and where the fingerprint goes it just says "fingerprint not available".

same thing on mine too ...

the biometrics notice letter was actually ONLY for the i485 .Go figure. :bonk:

Young seattle you need to find some descent lawyer who knows how to handle Vawa, your I-131 wasn't issued because you overstayed etc..It's because you are abroad and your vawa wasn't approved yet!!!! It's so simple and I don't understand how a lawyer doesn't know that? who lives abroad will have form I-131 approved just if the form I-360 is approved, period!.The meaning to have a I-131 issued is to allow the alien wait inside the Usa, after Vawa approved, the adjudication of form I-485.Once Uscis approve your I-360 you can enter in the USA to wait for decision of your form I-485.

If you overstayed you have a ban to enter in the USA for 3 or 10 years, and you need to file I-601 to overcome the ban. Keep in mind Uscis did not issue form I-131 yet because of the ban, but because you don't have a reason to be inside the USA right now since your form I-360 is still ponding.I met some people who filed form I-360 and went for Consular Processing and the US COnsulate did not ask the waiver I-601, but I saw at least 5 other cases that the US COnsulate asked for the waiver, you have to check with the US Consulate in your Country if they will ask the waiver or not.

Hi sandranj:

Thanks for your help, yesterday I called my mentor in Seattle, he has some lawyer friends from New York life company, hope I still have time to pursue legal assistance from those experienced lawyers. I just keep my finger crossed,so nervous.

I am in dilemma, On Feb 4th 2011 I followed NBC director Robert Cowan's letter to leave Seattle and pick up my birth certificate, at the beginning I had no plan to leave Seattle since my lawyer friends from UW warned me about overstay issue, but if I didnot hand in my birth certificate on time, NBC will deny my US immigration anyway.

I have been lurking on this site for awhile, and I have some comments and questions. We all know that VAWA marriage fraud is a growing epidemic in America now. I wonder how many of you so called "abused spouses" are really only trying anything you can to get a green card to stay here? If you were abused, or your marriage didn't work out, why not just go home? Is there another reason for filing a VAWA AOS? Could it be money? If you have no family here, or culture here, why stay? And if you entered into your marriage only for a visa to paradise, then I hope the USCIS starts cracking down on this marriage fraud so many are doing. I dealt with this fraud years ago, before it was advertised on the web as an easy ticket to american residency, and I think the entire VAWA law needs to be reformed. The fraudsters are making it very difficult for honest immigrant spouses to obtain a visa. Just my observations.

hi CurlyHoward:I think you are just easy to say than do it, if you married with US citizen wife who is serious drug addicted, also you got two younger sister-in-law to feed, at the same time your mother-in-law keep pushing you for money. then you basically understand what the price you have to pay to get US greencard.

I donot know why you can survive in the state so easily,do you got your law degree in some US universities? I have two master degrees, one Phd degree, I represent two clothes companies in my country, I still cannot say I am a successful man.

why you are so confidence to say you are a honest man here? Do you have reference letters and therapy's report to show that? BY using USCIS's words.

My wife always said donot judge other people, because one day you will be judged by God too.
