jesse007 Uscis will find out about her Citizenship with her name and SS number. You won' be able to find about her status by yourself. You have just to wait it will take a while, but do not send form I-485 before receiving the NOA OK.

Did you send a psychological evaluation along with form I-360?are you doing therapy?. If you didn't send it then it's time to start looking for some psychologist, you can find some free treatment.USCIS won't approve your Vawa case with mental abuse allegations without a psychological evaluation .It's important to show how the mental abuse affected your life and how you are functioning because of the abuse that you endured.

I had a weekly meeting with psychologist for 2 months then I had her write a letter.

Is that good enough?

I hope they can find out soon about her status.

IfI don't get prima facie, I'd have no choice but to file I-485 foe EAD

My dear friends. My health was not good and because of that I was not able to be here. Now I'm doing better and will be here more often. I heard that few VAWA petition's where approved and I congratulate them.

Regarding my case there has not been any major changes. I sanded RFE end of October and now I'm whiting. I was not able to obtain my spouses birth certificate or copy of passport, but I directed VSC to look at approved I-130 file for proof of my spouses citizenship. Will that be ok? What do you think?

Also how long does it take them to make decision after RFE respond?

There second RFE was asking for:

1. Certified marriage license

2. Proof of my spouses US citizenship

3. Proof of Bona Fide marriage

I responded with:

1. Certified copy from county

2. Directions where VSC can locate proof of her citizenship. (I have I-130 approved in 2008)

3. Affidavits from friends and family (five of them), copy of bills in both names (Gas, electric and credit card statement showing both of our names)

I was not able to obtain anything else because I don't have access to it.

What's your guys opinion what are my chances?

I can't sleep over this! :(

Thanks!

I'm not attorney and this is not legal advice, this is just my personal opinion!

Sahilkundra until you receive green card you can use public benefits without any problem ,and it won't affect anything, but after receiving the green card do not use public funds anymore otherwise you won't be able to get citizenship and they cannot allow you to reenter in the Usa after a trip abroad.

jesse007 without prima facie it doesn't count as resident rate for college purpose.

So lets say they didn't issue me a prima facie, I couldn't enroll to school with a pending I-485 right?

I feel like I ask too many questions :(

Hey guys I'm still waiting on my interview date. This is crazy I just feel like crying and screaming at the same time. My lawyer said she was gong to try and contact them again. Well its been 2weeks now and I haven't heard back from her. I'm just stressed to the Max. Maybe I should have not have ask for a fee wavier as I see those who paid the fee getting interviews. Dec will make 7months!! This is torture

While waiting for NOA from VSC of my I-360, I would like to start filling out I-485 and I-765 in advance.

As soon as I hear sth back from them, i'll send right away.

For those of you who have filed I-485 while I-360 pending, please help me out.

Where do I start? where to download I-485 etc?

Is there any instruction of what to do?

I sent I-360 alone, and now I need a work permit, so thinking of sending I-485 once I hear sth from them about my vawa case.

hiloveme, lorphelp me, gizq, vawa, mayjay, liveurlife, nice to meet you guys here again. do you got your greencard?

my one is still pending for 22 months, on Oct 31th 2012, I asked help from my state senator, who kindly helped me ask VSC for my case, but still no result yet, I want to go back Seattle before this Xmas too.

I called my mother-in-law's house to ask if they received two winter jackets I mailed for my wife and my sister-in-law, obviously she is not so happy after I left so long, she even cannot recognize my voice.

my boss in Seattle tried to find me an attorney, i said just wait for what my state Senator got from VSC, such a long waiting is killing me now.

Hey gizq, if your file haven't been transferred yet, you should contact VSC not NBC or local office.Even if you get an infopass with local office, i don't think there's much they can tell you about your case since its still @ VSC.

I'm still waiting for my interview date, hopefully praying it comes soon.

Young seattle, long time.I have been approved but waiting for my interview for the green card.Your case by the way don't sound like a vawa case @ all, maybe that's why VSC is not responding. If you are claiming VAWA benefits and still on friendly terms with your abuser...that don't ring well.Besides, you said she was on drugs & never abused you, just addicted which is taking its toll on you & the family- you have confessed love over n over again to this woman on this forum, if that's why you filed for vawa, then i wish you the best of luck b/c you really have to convince VSC on the abusive part, whether physically, mentally or otherwise.

But all n all, good luck & to all those waiting, stay strong. It is well.
