hi again Sandra I file my divorce and my 15 days for him to respond is the last day of may then on the 3rd day of june am going to file motion to default if he does not respond then 3 days from that the judge will sign my divorce then on the 20th of june we back in court where he is charge for beating me after I left the home we shared he was even living with another woman oops{victim { and I lived by myself and he was still trying to control me can you imagine I will be in court has a witness has the daa took over the case but in order to close that door I have to face that monster I was his 5th wife I waited this long to divorce him has he kept saying he was gonna divorce me but never did that was just one way for him to try have a hold on me am in my church now and in the future when am finaly heal I would love to go back to the shelter to encourage batterd women and help encourage them all I don't date no more as I see every men with one eye and its myway for now I have obsolutely no intrest in men has I went through so much abuse they were days I ask god to take me I wana die but am healing now

hi there am a Jamaican as well please don't withdraw your petition as if your husband was any good he would have help you in the first place talking from experience a leopard never changes its spot only a divine intervention can change the spots just like how only god can change your husband .so if your vawa application was the truth then carry on be dependent only on you and god don't let him get you where he want a second time please

God opened this door for you walk through it as an old addage goes 'why light candle in the dark to see something your already seeing in the light' be wise my friend dont let the enemy confuse you into going back into an unhealthy relationship. Continue on the path your on and just keep him in prayer.

Congrats on the new approvals and I hope everyone else is approved soon.

I filed my case in January 2012 and haven't received a decision. It's beyond their stated 13 month time frame and my 4th prima facia document has expired. I wanted to know what would be the next step for me or my lawyer to do? I haven't received any RFE. My lawyer says she sent out another case around the same time as mine and that case was approved a few weeks ago.

Should we write them for another prima facie extension or just write them about a decision on the case?

Again and again and again I applaud here all survivors who had the courage to say NO to the abusers.You are truly survivors.Abusers do not change.You can't give what you do not have, you can't love someone if you do not love yourself , and your life come first ALWAYS. Getting out of abuse showed you guys strength, determination and self respect.I am convinced each one of you will find a man/woman who will honor,respect and cherish your love and will show your love not with words,but with actions.Life is too short to spend it in poor relationship then go get it.

I would ask your attorney to write to VSC to get another prima facie and inquire about the status of your case stating that it's out of processing times. Also, I would write to Ombudsman

office yourself saying that your case is out of processing time and they will inquire on your behalf.

Been really depressed lately , unfortunately I havent been online and had no energy latelly to do anything. Been very sic for the last couple of weeks, fever,vomit, and headache that can't get read of.

I been trying to fight this battle but its dragging me down very fast. I m very sad to announce that I officially closed down my business and let all emplyees go, I was not able to put my mind into it no more. I sold the equipament and refer my clients to a friend and he agreed to pay me some money every month so i can keep things going and pay my bills till I get this chapter of my life closed. I m spending more time taking care of my daugther now and I let the babysitter go as well.

I m trying to hang there for my baby girl. its been too hard for me guys. But I m trying with all that i have left to get thru .
