Can somebody help me please.i have applied vawa last year oct,2012 n then nothing n they are saying that if that immigration bill get pass everybody will get work permit.

Аs I found out from Sandranj, the immigration reform will be in effect a year from the time it gets approved. So that's gonna be somewhere at the end of 2014. So I would not count on that.

The cops were called to my apartment on several occasions by the neighbors and the building security. He was arrested twice. He threaten the cops and they also charged him with terroristic threats which racked up his bail. Its a lot of evidence I had. I prove to immigration that I had possessions before my husband. I drive a brand new 2012 car, I was in a nursing program when I met him I wasn't a bom. If they rfe me I will get a let from my ex who just made Chief in the navy who I dated for close to two years and I never ask him for papers gfe topic came up but I never influence him to marry me so I could get a GC I was living well off without papers (always had DL and SSC. We never work out Caz he was trying to make is relationship with his baby mother work for tfe sake of their young child. So I can show immigration I'm not desperate and fraudulent. My affidavit was the truth! Do was my best friend his sister and I are so close so is his family so if I get rfe I can get things from is family. His sister is spoiling my daughter Caz she's their first niece but she's older than him. Hus grandparents are coming up to see the baby next weekend she live out of state his step grandparents love me and the baby his aunt love us so my marriage was straight up bonafide. When I was leaving my country I told myself I'm going to America and I'm gonna marry only for love and tfats what I did. He's not my typical type but we fall in love out of our control sometimes. I didn't want to start writing a lot and then start lying because a person that love to talk always tell lies and vsc knows. A long affidavit shows that u are trying too hard to convince the adjundicater.

Me too, I married in 2006, when things started getting soooo bad, i refuse to file i130.I finally filed i130 in 2011 when we made back. I married for love and my soon to be ex wish he could be back with me now,.Like you I had a life and career .I sent him to school to better his life and my step daughters life. My i130 was approved in like 6 weeks but i couldnt take it i had to leave after he hit me soo hard I had to have surgery ( cervical spine surgery because of howi fell ) It took me 1 year after my approval i 130 to file i360.. IMMIGRATION IS NOT STUPID. THE BURDEN OF PROOF IS ON YOU ALSO.I was never worried about my I360 approval because I spoke the truth from beginning to end. I ddnt have alot of pic from relationship, 7 pics with us on vacation that was it. 4 pages or so was my narrative. If i can read between the lines of some of these alleged abuses, so can IO.. Trust me

no, everyone shud NOT get approved! it shud be extremely difficult. why? becoz half of you have entered the USA with false intentions and should GO HOME to your country. If its so hard here then, why not? I hope they make it even more difficult to get approved, to weed out the scam marriages that are becoming an epidemic just to get a green card. I was scammed, and i hope they send her home! she used me for over $50.000.usd all total to get here, then provoked violence, and moved in with her boyfriend. This visa fraud must end!

I argree with you on that. I dont like that at all... I met this girl, who met her husband online .She was from another country . Nevertheless, they had an argument and he called her a B...TCH.. SHE FILED I360.. LOLOL.. I told her " goodluck with that" .Sorry about your situation. They always get theirs in the end whether they leave or stay.God dont sleep

I think i mentioned here besides being a lawyer I am one of the United Nation advocates for victims of domestic violence as well. I would like to invite all survivors living in NYC and NJ to take action on Orange Day which will take place in July 27 at 2pm in New York City. The event is to highlight the issue of violence against women/men and children.I am still choosing between Central Park and Time Square. I will give to each survivor a orange tshirt with the United nation logo printed "To End Domestic Violence-United Nation". Please send me pm who wants to take part . The pictures will be published in the United Nation web site,but if you don't want to show your face we won't display your face.

I will briefly explain about all forms of domestic violence.We have to condemn domestic violence.Inflicting pain on others is morally wrong and a crime. Abuse can ever be justified.

U seems very angry but this is not angry ex husband forum its vawa. If ur not a victim build a forum that speaks to ur issues. And when you use the word "you" use it in context! U are very rude and malicious find peace in yourself she left you for a reason I've seen several of your angry post and I have no sympathy for you caz ur rude. Ppl fall in and out of love and maybe that what happened in your relationship. How can bone "provoke violence"? As a couple your gonna have disagreement how you react to it is what makes a difference. If you physically or emotionally abuse her she's a victim and vawa rescued her. "Go back to ur country" I'm sure ur fore parents were immigrants and if they were native American they also cross the barign straight to get here. American is a melting pot it don't belong to no race, ethnicity, religion or creed. Search your self and see where u went wrong and change it and go find a partner and love and care for her. You even keep track of the money you spend on her! That's a shame thatz your wife money is the least. You're probably the type of man that give your wife allowance like she's a child. Ppl can change and just how god fogives us he expect us to change. Life is destined and god wrote everyone journey. There is a reason for counseling that's y they have it. People do rehabilitate it about the person accepting that what they have done is wrong and they want to change personally and not because someone is forcing them to. I believe in second chances and forgiveness Caz I would like it for myself. Happiness is created it don't happen overnight. Every saint has a past and evey sinner has a future.

howtosurvive my 15 years of experience working with victims of domestic violence showed me that abusers and pedophiles do not rehabilitate.At the end we are our choices if you feel in peace with your choices go for it.I am not condemn in any form or shape your decision to forgive your abuser, it's your life and at the end you will be the one who has to deal with him.

Counseling helps couples in trouble because sometimes they don't know how they deal with differences, but not to rehabilitated a scumbag capable to batter a woman.I just can't stand abusers ,because of that i became an advocate for victims of domestic violence.Thank God i was never abused, but i did not have to suffer abuse to believe that abusers belong to jail because they are the scum of any society.

curleyhoward I think you should vent your frustration in other thread.We have here victims of domestic violence.I have no idea about your story, but I know scammers exist, verysaidguy was married with one. Vawa is a well drafted Law, scammers can fake a situation but their scam won't prevail if in fact they were not abused.The Vawa adjudicators are well trained and they can smell lies believe me.

Thank you sandranj. I continue to fight for the happiness, health and safety of my little girl. She is precious and untainted.

In my experience (I am a health care professional ) it is true, abusers don't change. The fact I've been called an abuser is malicious, fraudulent, evil and downright ridiculous. I wish all the true victims of abuse peace and a speedy recovery.

However, there are those of us who are victims of scams by marauding, cold hearted users who just want money and a GC. I hope the adjudicators truly can weed them out. I was left broken hearted and out $100,000. I never ever called my wife a name and never ever hit her.

Hello everyone. I have recieved prima facie. And i tried to apply for fafsa. They told me i needed a social security number .Then i went to the Financial Aid office in school and they told me the same. So then the Social Security office said i can get a NON- Work social to apply for fafsa. but i needed to do this:

Government Benefits or services: If you do not have permission to work, you may apply for a social security number only if:

- A federal law requires you to provide your social security number to get a particular benefit or service;
or

- A state of local law requires you to provide your social security number to get general assistance benefits that you already have qualified for.


IF YOU NEED A NUMBER TO MEET THESE STATE OR LOCAL REQUIREMENTS, YOU MUST BRING US A LETTER FROM THE GOVERNMENT AGENCY. IT MUST BE ON A LETTERHEAD STATIONERY (NO FORM LETTERS OR PHOTOCOPIES)
AND:

-SPECIFICALLY IDENTIFY YOU AS THE APPLICANT;

- CITE THE LAW REQUIRING YOU TO HAVE A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER

the problem is the people at the school are really bad with getting back at me especially the finainal aid office!

You should've received prima facie for sure. I would advise you contact your attorney and talk to him about that. You can ask him to contact VSC to find out why you did not receive prima facie. In my understanding prima facie is the document showing that your case meets all the criteria to qualify for VAWA. I've never heard that VSC would not issue it for over a year. It is usually issued within a month after filing.

Really lank thats true I thought some people get it and some don't I did realise it meets some sort of qualifying criteria. Is this so Sandra?
