A lil update . my lawyer called me today and said what we all knew that i need to file for EAD and i485. But he said he doesnt have time to file i485 now so we will just send for EAD. i asked in another thread if i will need to replace my i94 as i dont have it i also asked my lawyer her said probably not since i have a police report filed from when it was thrown awa. i really hope he knows whathe is doing would rather scrap up the money to replace it now than apply under pressure later.

YOU CAN FILE FOR YOUR I94 SINCE YOU NEED IT FOR EAD FORM... A COPY IS NEEDED... AND FOR I485 AS WELL I BELIEVE. I DO NOT KNOW WHY YOUR ATTORNEY INSISTS ON WASTING TIME WITH HIS FOOLISHNESS SINCE CLEARLY HE HAS NOOO IDEA OF WHAT HE IS DOING.. ALL THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE ALREADY.. REDICULOUS

Ok thanks sandranj. i know this sounds pathetic but i am terrified to lose my lawyer and do this alone but he obviously has no clue so i will cry tonight and tomorrow i will be a big strong girl and tell him i will do this alone. i have come this far i can go a little further :-)

cielo14 yep It will help a lot, I hope the Congress will pass the Immigration Reform bill.

ugh i know he took my case pro bono and just last week was telling me i dont even need to file anything that my green card will just fall from the sky! If i cant file without i485 he really is confused i think he has time but doesnt know the process and is just buying time to figure it out omg im more stressed now than before!!!

I am starting to get very frustrated with this man... he cannot help you he as he has no clue.. File your papers yourself then or go to catholic charities and let them help ( they charge as well i think) Nevertheless you need help asap.. Drop him, he has no clue.. I suggest getting EAD with the AOS . you get EAD in 6 weeks or so ( mine took 5 weeks first time) You have to get cracking on this .GRRRRRRRR.!!!! what is wrong with him?

Should i file to replace i94 first?. believe me i am frustrated to tears right now and litterally shacking as am terrified of confrontation (irrational thoughts of arguing with lawyer)

I had lost my i94 and before filing I had to request it,, the form you fill out is I120

angeliquequor the last medical exam submitted was 2 years ago then if you can submit a new one now if you want. Did you contact your Congress person to inquire about your case?

Yes my lawyer did 3 week ago and again 2 weeks ago - they replay to her that they are tring to get information from the Atlanta location , but still no answer - I will call my lawyer again tomorrow morning.

Ukcrybaby u are cracking me up. I'm a big cry baby too but sometime u gotta fester up the strength to face ur fears. I really font thing ull need ur i94 do u have ur past port with ur visa stamped? They just want to prove that u entered gge country legally. But as an extra precaution u canfile for a rreplacement but ur passport stamped is OK Caz u from Britain I don't think u used a visa to entire the country Caz ur country has waivers. File i485 with i765 and get ur green card and get the process over with. Email Sandra and look up things online. Print out a copy of both farms and attempt filling every part then sit with ur lawyer and tell him that's all he need to do and if he won't do it you'll do it urself and email Sandra and let her walk u through the steps of filing the forms.

Panama guy the last option is to write an amazing letter to Vawa Unit adding all mental abuse you endured since you submitted your Vawa and asking them to adjudicate your case. Write an affidavit stating your sense of well being before the abuse, your quality of life and ability to function after the abuse. Specify if she uses intimidation, isolation, degradation,possessiveness, control,coercion,threats and give some details.

You need to send something to Vawa Unit in order for them to touch your file.Are you still doing therapy? ask her to write a letter stating

1-number of sessions you attended;

2-the duration of each session;

3-The topics discussed;

4-The purpose of any medication you have been 'prescribed ;

5- An evaluation of your progress;

6-.An opinion on future counseling needs.
