Hi everyone! I'm still here. My fafsa was processed and approved so I can start university this fall. Finished a private LPN last April but because of my husband bs and pregnancy I didn't take my board. *was on a j1 visa* has social and drivers license since I came here. Gonna start my review and prepare myself for my board.

FYI- working and a baby take up all my time hardly have time to post but I keep up with y'all updates.

Congratulations to all the recent approvals!

Could you please tell me how this work? I'm trying to go back to school. I was told that i have to have tax record for 2012 so i can prove that i had low income but i didnt file taxes because i had no income. Your help will be appreciated

And to everyone, i just wanted to tell you about my biometics story. Hope this can be helpful to someone. My biometrics was schduled on 4/11/13 in TX. And i was notified by stupid lawyer on 5/18/13. I'm currently visiting my mother in PA and not be able to go back to TX soon. So i planned to walk-in to one of the location in PA.

Today 5/21/13 i walked in and gave the notice to lady at the front. She checked the appointment date and asked why i'm so late. I just explained to her and she just let me do the finger prints. And that was it!!

It is really important to appear at the appointment time, but if you missed it by whatever reasons, try to walk-in asap they might let you do the finger prints. And i also was able to do it in a different location/state than the one that was assigned to me.

domi-nique in your case you can send to Chicago lockbox as well(if filling separately). PRACTICE POINTER mentioned that the Chicago lockbox has been having a lot of problems, and advise to put big 35 pt type on cover sheet indicating that it’s a VAWA file.

Yeah it looks like official VAWA processing times just took a big step up, and jumped from around 16 months to 12 months.

I have a question. When your i485 gets transferred to your local office those that mean it gets transferred to the state you live in? Or how does that work?
