Hey Lank hope your doing better today? Any headway with your case?

I solved the mystery of the immigration person calling to my landlord. My husband came back from Europe 2 weeks ago and they said his green card was not clean. DHS held him for 10 hours questioning. They did not mention anything about vawa, did not ask anything about marriage at all, just about the purpose of his travel, his address and work. I have an order of protection from him and he owns a lot of money in child support to his ex-wife. I guess that's why he got held by DHS.

LANK, maybe not child support, but his extended leave outside of the US?

also LANK, so what do u think your "expedited" information means? was it good information?

It does not look like they expedited my request. I received this email on May 10 but I have not heard anything from uscis since then. This information is not correct. I asked my lawyer to call and find out. Will update you when I get any news on this.

In response to your request for assistance, our office contacted USCIS, who informed us that they are working on your case as quickly as possible. Therefore, we determined that USCIS is already working to expedite your case.

Since USCIS is expediting your case, we must close your request for assistance with our office at this time.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to assist you.

Sincerely,

I'm the same way I filed in August 2011 and got approved in February my case was transferred and they just request a new medical exam. I went and did that just waiting on the results to send it back to the local office. But from what I've heard is about 4-6 months to get interview the. Once that's approved you the your green card in the mail.
