hopeful12 it's up to you if you want to file for divorced based in domestic violence or not.I would say 80% of Vawa filers do not file for divorce with base in domestic violence and it does not change Vawa decision if you filed based in violence or not. You need to find out if your State allows divorce based in domestic violence, some States do not allow tho.

Thanks a lot!

I will remind: the "waiting game" on your case is actually a hopeful sign. I have seen immigration cases, where a humanistic officer didn't want to issue a denial, was giving it more running time - and eventually sent out approval.

Now, when u say "it looks to me"...how? What did u hear from official sources? Or who are the unduly delayed MALES?

(if u meant youngSeattle: he's residing on the opposite side of the globe - so, that's bad for sampling. if u meant MacBook, who got denied: who knows what his case looked like) But if u know the particulars of other cases: please tell us

VAWA2013 I m saying it because, I start to go to this support group for male and all the guys that are there that I talked too, they are in the same situation as me. i talked to 13 male that applied for VAWA in 2011 ,some of them applied way before me and still waiting, no answer from VSC and they have tried everything and no solution, they tried Congress help, Senator help, and they all received the same answer, " they are working on cases received on or before November 2011"

I m not saying it because i dont want the girls to be approved, I m just saying that it looks like the only people waiting for long time is Male applicants, I think they are more likelly to deny male because MALE in their mind are stronger, but the reality is, in this situation we have no more power than wowan because we been holding down with no chance to even speak out.

NOTHING... unfortunately we have tried everything. We just have to WAIT, there is nothing else that can be done.

That is the sad part. They says that cases are reviewed in the order that they was received, but how come? if someone applied in May 2012 and has not expedite their application and they was already approved. on the other side I applied in December of 2011 and still no answer.... it means that they pick cases to review. AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT WE CAN DO, other than just WAIT and WAIT and keep WAITING till they decide what to do with our cases. They figure that we are MALE and we can handle the pression longer and some of us that get beated up my the wife can handle it longer as well. Believe me, some of us get beated up hard by the wife, and its not because we want too or we like it, or we not strong enought to fight back. I could knock my wife dead with one punch I m a BIG guy , but i dont want to go to jail and i dont want play her game because than I will be the unlawfull guy and she will play the inocent and take advantage of it. So when i m close to knock her down I count to thousand and if its not over yet ,i count again and again and again, till i calm down. Believe me some days is super hard because she spit on my face many times. you guys have no idea how my life is.

irara you can't do the fingerprints in a different State.Go back to your State this weekend, walk in the Uscis office and try to explain and maybe they will allow you to do right there, you have to run they may deny your petition any minute and fire your lawyer! Write a letter firing your lawyer and take to the Uscis office and they may allow you to do the fingerprints now. It's your lawyer responsibility to inform you about the fingerprints and everything regarding your case.

ukcrybaby did you submit form I-485 When you were living with your spouse? if "yes" then YOUR i-485 IS PENDING, if "not" then ask your lawyer if he submitted form I-485 along with form I-360, if he says "nope" then you have to submit to Vawa Unit now OK.If you do not trust your lawyer then file AOS without your lawyer.

I hear you man! I am waiting since sept 2011 but no luck yet. I have contacted the congress man but they said same thing to him as usual. I am tired, exhausted and frustrated. I feel great degree of distress and emotionlessness.

You actually can have biometrics taken at any ASC in the US. It doesn't have to be in your state or even the closest one to you. They just indicate the closest one to you for your convenience, because they figure that's the one most people will go to.
