Anyone who filed VAWA in August 2012 ? I filed in August and received 2 prima facie so far but nothing apart from that. No touch, no RFE. Any idea?

hi everyone i filed i360 in may it was received on may 29th 2012 and first prima facie was sent to me. i did not receive any RFE. my case was based on physical abuse.i received approval in just under 12 months. i spoke with my lawyer today and he told me i should receive green card and EAD in the mail? how is this when i485 and EAD have not been applied for no interview or nothing??? this doesn't sound right?? im very confused but he is the lawyer and he has got me this far and i trust him.

Congrats UkcryBaby, you are right. Your lawyer is missing something, you need to file EAD and 485 now and then you would receive them. Would you mind sharing what all proofs you submitted, mine was physical too.

hi donehere. i submitted 3 separate police reports and pictures of black eyes and strangulation marks also temporary PFA order also newspaper article and eye witness affidavits.

donehere have a seat, because you will wait at least 3/5months to have your case adjudicated, if you are lucky.

ukcrybaby it's time for your lawyer to read about Immigration Law.ALL Vawa filers must attend AOS interview.

i can not file this on my own i cant understand any of these paperwork and i get too overwhelmed kinda freaking out big time. i asked him if i have to file 1485 he said with approved vawa it will come automatically omg i know this is not right but i don't want to argue with him. maybe when official notice comes in the mail it will have steps for him to follow?????.

IANK the information the ombudsman gave you probably was not correct, because when Vawa Unit decides to expedite one case they work extremely fast.I saw some cases expedited and the decisions were given in 24 hours.

Ukcrybaby do you have a pending I-485? if yes then Vawa Unit will ship your file to the local office and you will attend the interview,if you don't have a pending I-485 then you have to file form I-485 and submit tho.

hi everyone i just wanted to share my good news. my i360 was approved on the 16th i just received notice today by email im very excited!!!!!! im on route to see my lawyer now. i hope you all get good news soon.
