apple2013 do not file a new form I-485, you have a pending I-485 and Vawa Unit will send your file to the local office for you to attend AOS interview. A new I-485 won't benefit your case at all, and it may cause confusion.

I hope you remember my case. So I have my old I-485 pending (filed with my husband) and I have filed EAD twice (one along with the I-485 and a renewal one after I filed I-360 and it was approved). Now my VAWA is approved, if I file a new I-485, would it give me a better chance for AOS or would it make no difference? My old I-485 was put into pending (initial review) after I filed I-360.

Hi Sandra , I have a question on the same subject .

My 485 was apply with a i130 and put on hold till my i360 will be approve, my lawyer renew my work authorization twice and I will need to renew it again by August but this time it's will be the first time that I'm renew it after my i360 got approve ( I am still wattling for interview 7 months and 3 weeks) do she need to send it under the same category ? I'm sure she know what she is doing I just want to be on the safe side.

Btw she send email to my congressman and he reply to her this Monday that he is trying to find information and help to expedite my case.

Not yet... I think its... I have see some cases like this here, when they get RFE for I485 and is just the medicals... I have my done, so im just waiting for my lawyers calls... Do you know if i have to be divorced at the time of my interview? I have no money for that and no feel like to deel with my ex husband right now...

I've seen some comments that if you get a divorce it is recommended to get it based on abuse. How do you do that? Is it a completely different type of divorce from a regular one? or is it a regular one that states that there was an abuse? I couldn't find much information about it. Could you please provide me with some information. Thanks a lot!

ngliqueour if you have form I-485 pending then the category for your I-765 will be C 9.

czzzzz the Residence Status for tuition purposes differs from one State to another, I don't know how it works in your State my dear.

hopeful12 it's up to you if you want to file for divorced based in domestic violence or not.I would say 80% of Vawa filers do not file for divorce with base in domestic violence and it does not change Vawa decision if you filed based in violence or not. You need to find out if your State allows divorce based in domestic violence, some States do not allow tho.

Hi everyone..

Does anyone know what would happen if i wasnt aware of biometrics scheduled and miss the appointment?? Indianguyyy applied VAWA along with I485 a week later than me and he recieved notice of biometrics few days ago but i haven't. I just cant trust my lawyer. He's super lazy..
