How to survive what your husband wants you should not take in consideration. The judge Issued a life time restraining order against him,it means he is a dangerous person. If he loves you or not,I doubt abusers don't love others they are selfish/narcisist,it should not matter what he thinks or wants.Action speak louder than words and he proved with his action that he is a ####### man.You are and adult and you are entitled to do what you want with your life, but you have a child and you cannot endanger your child's life being around of your abuser.Change your phone number, block to receive any email from him, delete him,his friends and family from your facebook.File for full custody of your child and ask for supervised visitation.Find someone to be with your child when he sees the child, and do not be in his presence ever. I am sure your vawa is approved and even if they deny you can't bargain your child's life or your life in order to stay in the Usa.Your life is worth it,your child's live is precious.

Sandranj would you know how long it takes for adjudicator to make some kind of decision on the case? I know for sure that they started to work on my case since last monday. I'm all nervous and cannot concentrate on anything. So it's been second week. This uncertainty and waiting period are killing me.

Hello all, my I360 approved in 07/2012. Still waiting for interview... Anyone in the same situacion? Please let me know.

Gizq I was in a similar situation, but I didn't wait as long as you. My case was transferred in November or so, and my lawyer only just got the notice for interview. I didn't get an email or text message like when my I-360 was approved. I also didn't get a notice for biometrics so I was a bit confused. However I read on the USCIS website that there's a new policy where people with interviews get their fingerprints taken at the interview location also. So I guess I'll wait and see.

Since it's been so long it shold be about time to renew your EAD. Have you sent the form & attachments to VSC for renewal? That might be one way to get them back on your case.

July 2011 - Applied for VAWA with I-765 and I-485 with fee waivers - receipt date Aug 4, 2011
August 10th 2011 - Received NOA's for all 3, fee waivers accepted
August 26th 2011 - Received EAD
Early July 2012 - Re-applied for EAD based on pending I-485
Mid July 2012 - Received NOA for 2nd EAD
August 1st 2012 - Received EAD
Silence for a few more months
October 26th 2012 - I-360 approval
November 19th '12 - Case transferred
May 2013 - Received interview notice

June 2013 - Interview (approved)

Permanent resident since June 2013

Believe, would you mind if i ask how long did you wait since you got approval notice in mail to the AOS interview notice? I just got an email saying my VAWA is approved in email couple days ago and still waiting for the official approval in mail, how long did it take you to receive the actually approval in mail since you first notified by email/text?

Iank usually they take 30mins to adjudicate a Vawa case. Every single person that called Vawa Uni lately, including several of my colleagues they gave the same information " The adjudicator is adjudicating or reviewing the case" , do not believe in this bs ok, they are saying the same thing to everyone.

sandranj somebody from immigration department called the management office where I used the rent apartment from and asked for a lease agreement for the whole time I lived there and also asked the lady from the office if she knew who I lived there with.

I also received this email from Ombudsman office where I wrote a couple of times. So I think the started to work on my case but I have not heard anything directly from VAWA unit. Email says:

In response to your request for assistance, our office contacted USCIS, who informed us that they are working on your case as quickly as possible. Therefore, we determined that USCIS is already working to expedite your case.

Since USCIS is expediting your case, we must close your request for assistance with our office at this time.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to assist you.

Sincerely,

Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman

panama-guy I would suggest that you keep on pushing. Try to write to Ombudsman. They rejected the first time I asked them for help but it did not stop me. I wrote them the second time and they answered.

I m afraid of pushing too much and vsc officer get upset and just to get done with me , they dont really look at my case and just deny it.

Panamaguy, Another inquiry may not hurt; u show your seriousness. Show that u r on top of things. And also: the fact that Officer has apparently been just "sitting" on your file, without producing an RFE, is a hopeful sign. I find that they might act just like that in cases which lack the standard evidence - but where they are sympathetic to petitioner on humanitarian basis, and don't want to deny. Even if denied, u can definitely win in Court on hardship. But given their lengthy consideration, my sense is that it won't be necessary! Just keep all your right moves up every day, U'll get it
