Happy Mother's day to all mothers and to all fathers out there raising their children without a mother(Verysad guy,Panamaguy and singledad etc.)

Sandra, I have another question for you. After my work visa expired I worked at the bar for 3 weeks while I had tourist visa, and after b2 expired u worked for 3 months at the restourant. At that time u really needed money so I didnt worry about it, but right now I'm surprised they hired me, they saw my social, it says it's not valid without authorization on it. I didnt pay taxes for those 2 years. Should I worry about it? My friend saying its ok, since I didn't file tax return myself IRS doesn't know I was working. I don't really understand how tax return works, I made about 7k in 08 and probably 2k in 09. So that guy saying that it was too long ago, so not only I won't get money back, but that there's absolutely no reason to file it! Plus he said don't tell your lawyer about it. I'm really stressed about it, will it mess up everything? When we went to a lawyer with my husband he told us that immigration forgive those who worked illegally but married us citizen now. Please help me, I'm going crazy about it!

You should file back taxes if you have not paid them and were required to file.

Tax evasion is a crime. Your tax burden would likely be minimal to non-existent.

MeEe if you worked with work permit yes you have to file your taxes, for those that worked off the books BEFORE getting the work permit Uscis will "forgive" that period of work off the books , if the alien is married to a US Citizen.

howtosurvive if you want you can withdrawn you petition I-360 and your husband can file I-130.

You didn't ask my opinion but I will give you my opinion as an advocate for victims of domestic violence . I work with victims of domestic violence almost 23 years and i can assure you that abusers do not change without having at least 1 year of therapy, going for anger management classes for at least 6months and recognizing during the treatment that what they did is called abuse and it's not ok, this change of heart does not come with "I am sorry", it comes with years of treatment and counseling, and as far I know your husband did not participate in any treatment/anger classes for at least 1 year. You have a high chance of experiencing abuse or being battered again if you live with him right now. It;s not a wise decision to reconciliate with your abuser , but at the end we are our choices, and I applaud all courageous women that removed themselves from the situation of abuse. Good luck.

Today I got a copy of an email received by my congressman on my behalf. It states that they are working on cases in the window of nov 6th or before. They said my case is with the adjudicator.

I already knew that it is either in the file cabnet or with an officer. I wanted to know why has it been taking so long as I applied in oct of 11.

I really don't know what to do anymore. I am so tired, exhausted and frustrated.
