HerTruestrengh regarding some I-485 taking longer than others it depends of the number of cases of each District offices have,for example some Uscis district offices are damn busy and it may take 5/6months to set up an interview, others 2/3 months. if the individual is waiting to attend interview more than 6months then the alien should contact Uscis or ask their congress person to request Uscis imformations about the delay.

Maybe I am seen things but I have a feeling that Singledad2usc don't like my case for some reason. I stop wrinting for few days because i feel like everything that I say he was writing against it. Guys we're here to help each other and get over this situatian, not to judge anyone. I would go another route if i had a choice. The situation with me is that I don't have other option to get out of this.

She have me in the corner and my choice is only one, Do what she want or me and my baby will be affected.

Otherwise I would have divorced her long time ago , and be married with someone else, or maybe single enjoying my life. But I have to think about my baby girl. Believe me I m not a bad looking guy and I m only 32 years old. If i was to scam someone I could find an American Citizen get married and have a green card in less than a year. I m sure there is alot of woman out there that is looking for a young professional men to marry. The reason I m applying for Vawa is because my wife keep abusing me in everyway you can imagine, her daddy wrote in his affidavit that she brings other man home and make me accecpt it, that she lies alot , and even force to go to bed with her even after she brings other guys home, If i refuse she go crazy on me and treat to take our daugther and go away and report to immigration. he also said in the letter how many times he was in the car with us and if i said something and she dont like what i said, she would park the car and tell me to get out and walk home, and if i dont get out she will call police and tell them to call immigration to arrest me because i m here in the US ilegally. One day I walked 4 miles because she trhow me out of the car and told me to leave my phone and my wallet in the car so i canot call a cab, and here in america people dont stop to give you a ride. so i walked 4 miles on a busy highway to get home. you guys have no idea what i go thru with this woman, she is evil.

PanamaGUY, thank God unhelpful members don't post within this VAWA topic. I had 3 of my topics maliciously demolished, until finally the truth came out that Yes, I did have VAWA case. So here, in this sanctuary topic, we only try to help - including future filers who are not sure how to proceed. On financial abuse: my impression is that VAWA only considers the victim left with nothing. I hope to be corrected

Maybe in your eye I only been abused financially but The thuth of the matter is that i been abused in many differents way like I previously describe a little bit of it. That is not even 10% of what I go thru. Somethings that happen and still happening I am Embarassed to even say. But I believe VSC will see that my life is not been easy and that My abuse goes beyound finacial abuse .

Maybe is Normal for married people bring others sex partners home and sleep with them with the spouse in the house.

Maybe is normal to be controlled by the spouse with the money that I make and spend on my self.

Maybe is normal to the one that make the money in the house is not allowed to by a new car do drive to work because the wive wont allow it, but in the other hand the abuser is driving a 2013 BMW X6.

maybe its normal for a mother to have not take care of her own daughter for one single day since she was born, not even feed her a bottle of milk or juice, but yet use that children agains you for personal gain.

maybe its normal for the wife to force you to go to bed with her after she sleep with many differents man and you have no choice but do it and without protection because she want it that way. other wise she will look in your face and tell you do it or else.

maybe its normal .... maybe this all and much more its normal and I AM the one that is over reacting with this Normal beautiful life.....

well tell us if u'd tried any of this...

My wife put both 0-2y.o. in danger, and ACS(Administration for Children Services) got involved. So both parents went to 12 weeks of parental classes, couples counseling, phychologists, psychiatrists. I even did anger management (although no one required it). I did everything to get best resolution for my marriage and for my children. Eventually, children's custody was awarded to me. But wife slipped up half-way, and was barred from the house (authorities told me that if I allow her back, they'll remove the children)

lol, yes you have no idea about this kind of case. if my wife wont be hear about me buying a new car for my self, so i ahve to drive 2001 beated up ford, do you think I m stupid enought to ask her to go to classes? do you really think that I m stupid enough to call child services? we are talking about a drug adicted person that refuse treatment when her own father tried to get her in. And i have no power or say in this relashionship dude. all I do is agree and keep my mouth closed if I dont want to be deported and leave my girl behind with my wife so she can be abuse,raped,or maybe killed by them.

so this conversation with you end right here. you have no idea what abuse really is. just because your wife hit you does not make you a pro in this. believe a rather get hit by my wife than put up with all of this.

Just my two cents singledad if you have no information that will help panam guy then why be at him. It comes across like you have something against his case ( no pun intended). This forum is to help people in a positive way if you think that his case is not strong then feel free to say but at the end of the day is his choice to move forward. It comes across that you are frustrating him and i personally don't think this forum is for that at all. everybody situation is different it doesn't mean because you did something a certain way doesn't mean someone else has to do it that way. Live and let live. Let him do wat he thinks is best for him. Everybody deal with abuse differently some people can walk away easier than other and it makes it even harder for others when kids are involve. That's just my two cents don't be offended in any way.

Don't you have anyone you could go stay with? Or maybe even a shelter, although it would have to be a homeless shelter as I don't know of any domestic violence shelters for men.

Been there and done that for a long time and I understand your feelings of powerlessness. You have to understand you don't need her (wife) for you to make a life for yourself and your daughter. Only as long as you allow her to control you will you remain in the helpless situation. Filing for VAWA is one step to self-empowerment but there are many more you need to take. She is retaining control of you by the green card and the child. Remove both items from her control and she no longer has power over you.

What if you just rented a place and took your daughter with you? Left the wifey high and dry, so what if she calls ICE, you have an I-360 pending.

I very much agree with Panama Guy i was going to say something too earlier but I did not, maybe I should have but SingleDad you are beind very negative and not encouraging and at the same time I think you are just wrong on a lot of things, the only person should be giving that kind of advice is sandranj - the only one here with multiple approved cases. The rest of us have just one approved case - and singledad I dont know if you got your yet but i hope yours will also be approved if not. PanamaGuy, your case is very similar to mine I relied heavily on my own affidavit which was actually 50 pages. I had NO psychological report from a professional. I did not take photos of bruises or swollen bloody face or any of the other 'typical' things that singledad seems to think are the ONLY things that count. Please singledad, you are going overboard I would love to be able to help panamaguy but I am too overwhelmed by your posts that it deters me from doing so. I beleive Panamaguy will be successful and trust me I have been there too and the very last thing that would have helped me when I first came here would be to get one of your responses on my case - i would still be where i was if that happened. I dont mean to sound harsh but its getting a little scary to read it all.

Oh and panamaguy - unless there is a court order to say you CANT take your child, then there is no court order to enforce.

My situation is more complicated to solve.

The house that we live in is own by my parents, and I do have a choice to have her removed from the house but the situation here is that I m afraid to put on a fight with her at this time .my attorney told me that is a big chance that if i try anything against her now with my case pending and she decided to go to court and fight for custody of our daugther ,she will win over me,because of my status. I put up with her for over 3 years now, and i just need a little more patience and see how it will be my vawa decision. after that things will be much easier to deal with, I will filled for divorce the next day that my vawa gets approved and have the best attorney to make sure i have my daugther custody and make sure , my wife is removed from my house.
