singledad2usc there are another way to get green card also not just I-130 and I-360. one of my friend denied for I-360 and he filled I-140 in between when he got RFE for I-360 and he got green card through I-140.. we need to find alternatives...

rkina I never said if one doesn't get divorced then the case will not be approved, there is no Law stating that. I said I heard them asking in several ocasions if the person got divorced, because they want to know if the person is still living with the abuser, once you explain that you did not file for divorce but are separated you will be ok, but if the alien shows up for m AOS interview saying yes i still live with my abuser and we still have a marital relationship then the chance to have the AOS denied is huge.

Panama-Guy so sorry for all you've experienced. it's sad that you are being held like a pawn under someone's thumb like this. You're really undergoing a lot of stress and I hope you can keep it together and keep going to counselling to maintain your sanity, and for your daughter's sake too. She may be young, but children are very observant and absorptive. You don't want her to grow up thinking that the way your wife treats you is the way to show someone love.

THANKS . I m looking forward to get this over with. I m dreaming about the day that I will be free again, be able to sleep with no concerns. She treat to poison my food so many times, that when I leave food on the refrigerator and next day I go eat it i feel scared, and she knows it, when i get something to eat and she is around, she look at me kind of remind me " you better be carful I may have put something in it for you" that right the way make me afraid of eating. Its crazy but only someone that is in it understand.

What punishment? It was issued legally by the state. RI isn't a commonwealth but so is Washington state and NM and Chicago and they don't ask for proof of citizenship

Singledad2Usc i believe Panama Guy has proof that his wife is defrauding his money for personal gain, and he doesn't need to prove mental harm in connection with financial abuse.Uscis recognize sexual abuse,physical abuse,mental abuse, financial abuse,emotional abuse to constitute cruelty.Besides financial abuse i believe he suffers mental abuse as well since his wife is using control,degradation,humiliation and intimidation.Sorry i mispeled some words i am using my phone.In my previous answer i supposed to write down "several cases" and i wrote severe cases lol.
