indianguyyy yes your lawyer is right. But If you suffered mental abuse and your psychologist gave you a damn good evaluation and diagnose you with post traumatic disorder or major depression and you are taking medications and submitted a letter from your doctor as well and had great affidavits yes your chances are good to prove mental abuse.

yes my psychologist gave me all symptoms of depression, anxious, post traumatic disorder and nervous breakdown also did BPI test but I am not buying it because i think, it happens with everyone who end up in divorce. everyone fights thats why they end up in divorce. if people are loving then they will be still married and happily ever after. some situations does not work and not fixable in marriage.

everyone loves their spouses thats why they get married.

here in visa journey i can see people have kids and babies and they are still struggling with approval ..it means uscis does not believe kids are form of love.... i dont know what kind of proof uscis needs...I am hopeless.. I wish everyones marriage should work...they should not end up fighting or argruments or abusive nature...they need to remember their marriage vows...ppl really change after marriage..you can see real color...

Hope everyone will get approval soon...

I agree with you.

I'm thinking a spouse who is not supportive for a while in their marriage for the other one to get her/his paper work done to stay legally is enough evidence of abuse.. I see many people who could not even apply a GC while they were married for many years because their spouses were purposely not supportive. .

yes irara you are right. my lawyer told me that marriage should be based on love..it should not be motive for getting green card or staying in us legally.. uscis just need one proof that marriage was placed for love thats why they need more proof like photos, love letters, valentine gifts, gift card, honeymoon pics and bank accounts and insurance...... citizen spouse can not be controlling person as you said or ego of having citizen or not treat someone as slave...

Hey guys I m trying to stay positive about my case. My lawyer told me that my case was strong when I hired her. but that could be just to get the 10 thousand dollars that she charged me to take care of my case for 2 years. And I paid upfront. I have an approved I-130 that was sent in by my wife in 2007, that should help because when USCIS approved my I-130 its says that my marriage is true. But I M concerning now because I asked for help from a congressman 2 weeks ago, and he just replied this morning with the answer from VSC , the answer was not helpful ,its just a letter saying that they are working on cases received on or before November 06,2011.... who need to send a letter to VSC to know that? that is already stated on uscis website! but that is not what concerns me.

My concerns is in the reply from uscis to the congressman the person at VSC sounds angry in the letter

,they said { I want to informe you Congressman that this applicant is been seeking congressional and Senate

help to enquire on his case in the past}.

That makes me believe that they dont like when you ask for help to enquire on your case , and I have a bad feeling about it. I hate to think like that but because I am a men they will deny my case even with all affidavits

that i sent ,physicologial evaluation, etc. I even had affidavits from my wifes family members stating what i was going trhu with her, with her drugs and alcohol problems.

I m just getting deppress and more depress everyday,I have a headache all day everyday, and can't sleep at night with this game of waiting.

Panama guy they are not angry because your congressman inquired, they are trying to show him like you know this applicant is been seeking congressional and Senate

help to enquire on his case in the past,we are doing our work we did not forget him. They have in the Vawa Unit a special file where they put all congressional inquiries and they have to answer them in 48hours. You have the right to inquire and they won't deny your case because of that, they are well trained adjudicators.

indianguyyy you said " my psychologist gave me all symptoms of depression, anxious, post traumatic disorder and nervous breakdown also did BPI test but I am not buying it because i think, it happens with everyone who end up in divorce. everyone fights thats why they end up in divorce". Well not every person divorced will develop pos traumatic disorder. A study conducted by Georgetown University Medical School showed that 80% of the physically abused group met the criteria for the PTSD diagnosis, and 63% of the verbally abused group met the criteria.

The National Institute of Mental Health defines Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as “an anxiety disorder that can develop after exposure to a terrifying event or ordeal in which grave physical harm occurred or was threatened", and indianguyyy not all divorce occur because the individual was exposed a terrifying event or ordeal in which grave physical harm.If you were diagnosed with PTD,depression etc.Your diagnosed was given based in the abuse you suffered not because you got divorced, people get divorced because they fall out of love or because of alcohol/drugs addiction, infidelity etc.

so was it a conviction, or was it dismissed in court? Everyone should remember that even court dismissal, with original seal, is still NOT the end of bureucracy. Sometimes the State fails to record such disposition, and FBI record is not wiped clean

I just got prima Facie! Im so happy i feel like im dreaming. To all of those with a criminal record... I had a DUI and still got prima Facie.
