If you file a standalone I-360 then you will not receive a biometrics appointment.

If you file an I-360 with an I-485, or an I-360 with an I-485 and an I-765, then you will receive a biometrics appointment.

I files them all together. I'm supposed to get biometric appointment notice within 30days after filing according to

USCIS website. But i am still waiting for about 35days now and i received work permit while waiting

Sandra would be able to clarify for you shes the expert!

The biometrics is for the i485 not the i765. Therefore u will receive it at some point. I did my bio before I received my ead they even took my photo but my card say finger print not available and it has the photo I send with my application not the one they took at the center. Don't get scared u will get it at some point at least before ur aos interview.

I was wondering if ones who has I-485 pendinf with VAWA case cant apply for the reform.

There's definitely more than 11 illegal immigrants in the US.

Do not count on immigration reform until it is signed into law by the president; until then expect the right and far right to do almost anything to prevent it from being enacted.

My friend was refused to get into a room to take his nursing cetificate test because he had his driver license with time limited ( he got the DL thru the Dream Act that Obama passed last year.) i think even if Obama sign the reform, there still will be lots of limitations for the folks..sad:(

howtosurvive Uscis set up appointment to have biometrics done regarding form I-765 AND I-485.Read what Uscis say about form I-765.

Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization

If you are e-Filing Form I-765, you do NOT need to submit paper photographs and you do NOT need to self-schedule an appointment at an Application Support Center for the electronic capture of your biometrics. You will receive a notice in the mail from the USCIS that will provide you with your USCIS-scheduled appointment for capturing biometrics and photographs at an Application Support Center.

The Dream actors filers for example they don't have I-485 pending but they need to have biometric done because of form I-765, then it's not correct to say biometric is not for the I-765 ok.But those RENEWING EAD they don't need to have biometrics done.

Indianguyyy I bet there are at least 18 million of illegal immigrants living in the USA and I don't see the reform taking place in less than 3/5 years at all.

you may be right about 18 million immigrants. this immigration is not NEW . it has been since 2007 when president bush started immigration. it took almost 6 years to bubble up again . NOW is the TIME.

same Dream act proposed in 2007 and it passed in 2011. to give illegeal to citizenship proposed in 2007 now its happening.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comprehensive_Immigration_Reform_Act_of_2007

VAWA law also took time to become law since it expired in Oct 2011.

There is a regulatory process that takes place once the bill becomes an act at least. There will be plenty of time for Immigration regulators to develop regulations and codes streamlining the new reform. I believe it will be suicidal to wait and rely on reforms related reliefs.

One of the prime reason of deferred action memorandum was to allow Agency to collect real time data on young immigrants under the banners of undocumented.

This sort of data compilation and retention allows agency to draw assessments, enforcement related tasks for future operations once such temp relief expire.

I DON'T SEE ANYTHING NEAR-TERM COMING IN THIS BILL:

Marco Rubio is preparing to go all in to support sweeping immigration

legislation, offering himself up as the public face of a bill that will split

the Republican Party — but that his allies hope will propel him to the

front of the GOP presidential sweepstakes.

After offering lukewarm support until now, Rubio is preparing to fully

embrace a measure that is the most significant of his political career

so far. The gambit could pay off in spades by crowning a leading

presidential contender in 2016, or it could permanently damage the

Republican’s brand with conservatives.

“Obviously, we’ll be informing the public, and we’ll want everyone to

know everything that’s in the bill,” Rubio told POLITICO Thursday.

“We want everyone to know as much of what’s in the bill as possible,

and we will use every opportunity we have to communicate that.”

Behind the scenes, the potential 2016 aspirant has already launched

a lobbying campaign to convince conservatives that the plan will be

tough on the border. The goal is to assuage GOP concerns over the

pathway to citizenship that would be offered to the nation’s 11

million illegal immigrants, allowing them to apply for citizenship after

13 years as the new enforcement measures take effect.

The Florida Republican has privately briefed individual GOP senators

on the Senate Judiciary Committee — including conservative skeptics

John Cornyn of Texas and Mike Lee of Utah — about the

soon-to-be-unveiled proposal, according to sources familiar with the

matter. His staff has pitched the plan to conservative thought leaders,

including at the National Review and Wall Street Journal editorial board

as well as the columnist Charles Krauthammer, sources say.

And after being rebuffed in his bid for extensive hearings on the bill

before the Judiciary Committee, the senator wants to launch his own

public hearing process of sorts to allow Republican senators to

question expert witnesses about the plan, a move aimed at

lleviating conservative fears that the plan will be jammed through

Congress with little public airing.

Far from dropping out of the group, as some suspected after his tepid

comments recently, Rubio will essentially become its most prominent

salesman, effectively putting his political capital — and presidential

ambitions — on the line in the process. With momentum behind the

push, Rubio clearly has calculated it makes more sense for him to

fully embrace the effort, rather than run away from it and potentially

kill the measure just as it is introduced.
