So let me ask Sandra does the severity of your case determine how quickly you get your I-360 approved? Is the Prima Facie approval mean your I-360 is approved?

As per i know Prima facie will take 1-2 month then cursory RFE if they have lot of backlogs.

if they dont have backlogs they will work on your case.

as per previous posts, vawa approval may take 15-20 months long/...its huge waiting.. USCIS verifies and investigate lots of stuff before approval..

There is useful information regarding Vawa..Here.. I urge everyone to read.

do you get biometric appointment for I-765 Ead??

You will get a bio most often before your ead but its not for the ead its for your aos app. Your ead will saw fingerprint not available and will have the photo u mailed not the one you take at the biometric center. At lease that's how mine is and the lawyer explained it to me because I was curious and I had to do a walk in because I was pregnant so he was trying to reschedule my appt but I didn't want to caz I thought it would delay my ead hence the question got asked.

08/2012 Discussed my immigration issues with a lawyer

08/2012 Started gathering evidence

11/2012 Paid my deposit (forgot to sign documents)

01/2013 Signed documents

02/19/2013 Vsc received my application

02/22/2013 NOA mailed out

My lawyer has a prima facie never collected it Caz I don't need any benefit at this time.

03/05/2013 EAD mailed out (actual ead date, it will expire 03/04/2014)

03/08/2013 Lawyer received biometrics for 3/17/2013 (day after my edd, [expected due date] did early walking 3/12/13)

03/29/2013 Card in hand (lawyer received it abt a week earlier but I delivered so was unable to collect it)

Waiting for my i360 approval but I'm in no rush (good things come to those who wait)

8/14/13 i360 approved. :)

10/8/2013 aos interview. .. approved :)

10/9/2013 status adjust to lpr and welcome package mailed out.

8/15/2013 I484 transfered to local office. :)

Well they requested further evidence since August 2012 and im still waiting I did get my EAD an it expires in July. I know Sandra did mention it taking 16-19 months but I see some people got prima facie pretty quickly so I was wondering if it had to do with the circumstances surrounding your case.

Hi guys. Congrats to all those who got approvals. Hope everyone is doing well.

I'm still waiting for my interview date, since November nothing much has happened. I'll be getting ready for EAD renewal soon.

Hypnos, glad to see you're done. It's sad that they dragged you through all that rigmarole.

Macbook please keep the faith, and contact your other state reps like Hypnos said.

To the question about EAD and prima facie: I got my EAD a fe weeks after applying, and I never got a letter for prima facie. I think the EAD was issued in lieu of prima facie, since I needed to work. I also didn't get a biometrics appointment. I'm waiting for that now for my AOS.

July 2011 - Applied for VAWA with I-765 and I-485 with fee waivers - receipt date Aug 4, 2011
August 10th 2011 - Received NOA's for all 3, fee waivers accepted
August 26th 2011 - Received EAD
Early July 2012 - Re-applied for EAD based on pending I-485
Mid July 2012 - Received NOA for 2nd EAD
August 1st 2012 - Received EAD
Silence for a few more months
October 26th 2012 - I-360 approval
November 19th '12 - Case transferred
May 2013 - Received interview notice

June 2013 - Interview (approved)

Permanent resident since June 2013

faithkeeper you can receive prima facie and have your case denied. When you receive prima facie it means you qualify to receive public benefits that is it.

As Hypnos well said vawa cases are processed in the order in which they are received, it does not matter the severity of the case.
