Sandra how can I get copy of tax return of previous year I had Itin number and we could filed taxes together I checked and just had 2008 but I need 2009 ....

Please if somebody have the number that I can call would be great....please help

I don't think you will need all that at the interview since you are not requested to show proof of financial responsibility but hold them just in case. But you need to have proof of your current job & pay stubs to show you are capable of taking care of yourself- they asked about my job & if i'm currently employed. In my interview appointment letter they had everything listed but did not mark anything specifically for me to bring b/c i assume this is a general notice that they send to everyone- in the past, they have marked out what they wanted me to bring. But after the listed items, it said if you are a self petitioner, this does not apply to you.It was a breeze in and breeze out thing. The only thing i was asked to bring was a govt issued ID or passport.I had my ID & my expired passport. They will not open your vawa file even though they have it right in front of them, mine had a boldly written statement on it in a yellow paper not to ask any questions from the file and the lady said that too.

But your I-485 form is the one they will open & tick and make sure everything you filled out is correct by asking you the same thing in it & the yes & no questions. They will check your ID to see if you are the right person,Your name, your current address(I had to correct mine to my current address since she requested that), date of birth, place of birth, what country, how you entered the US, when, where, spell your name, is your name correct, how is it pronounced, what type of visa you came with, have you every been in a removal proceeding, have you ever left the country, are you married or not, then yes & NO questions. After that, they will ask you to ask anything you want to ask just in case you don't understand anything. They will either approve you on the spot(if its an experience interviewer) or give you a paper stating interview in process(if its a junior interviewer) and asked to contact them with 30-120days if you don't hear from them after the interview.

I was interviewed feb 25th and given the letter to contact them within 30 days, my case was transferred on the 28th & approved on the 6th with card production ordered.Card was mailed out from KY on the 12 & scheduled to arrive on the 16th but it went to CA instead on the 14th but was redirected to TX & delivered on the 16th via priority mail & i have my card in hand.So i've been a residence since on the 6th mar.

So Ssisi, relax & take a deep breath, you will be just fine.Mind you, i went to the interview with my laptop bag packed full & they did not ask to see not even one document. All they checked out was my ID, even when i offered, she said she has everything she needed in the file & by the way, my file was almost as high as Mt Everest lol!

howtosurvive, I don't mean to appear to stretch this. But your situation has happened to me, and it can happen and will happen to many on this list.

1. Although difference in physical weight is important - it doesn't preclude surprise outcome. My wife was convicted of assault with a weapon, causing bodily harm - notwithstanding physical mismatch. While her frivolous accusations and false arrests of me were all thrown out.

2. You mention having a few cases in court with him - I'm getting the feeling that you're on the defensive seat in one of them. That's what was happening in my marriage. We continued to "live" together, while cross-cases were in courts. The practicality is daunting: people need place to live. Child Protective Services, however, do not have "keeping family together" on their list. Their only priority is Child Safety. There is no way they allow a child of any age to be under that roof. Look at what you've cared to spill above - that you're having altercations while the baby is in the physical middle. Well-wishers pointed out to you that you're deemed as guilty as him, if this is going on.

So I think you have enough for VAWA. But you also need some sort of DV resolution. My experience with Child Protective Services was this: they come in and play hardball. They use their authority to remove a child. It takes a long time for Family Court to reverse that: you have to take Parental Skills Classes, probably DV counceling, in some cases couples counceling, psychiatric or psychological sessions, anger management. If you co-operate, you'll get all the necessary help and more. But the long time that a child is removed may have a long-lasting (if not permanent) effect on the child. Well, so can child's presence in DV household. That's why you as a mother are given an option to move to a DV shelter with your child. Not sure what the percentage of those who are offered accept the offer - who wants to move to a shelter...It's a pickle...But you know you need something - and that's why you're writing to a forum

Very well said. Howtosurvive as a mother and so am I my daughter comes first in every situation think about your daughter don't let her father hurt her and u any more than he has already. There is a quote that I love that goes any woman can be a mother but it takes a bad-#### mom to be a dad too. And I know that you are. Good luck with everything we are here to help so ask whatever.

Liveurlife i think sSissi is trying to get 2009 tax return to show bonafide marriage not to show self support.I saw several cases they didn't ask many questions. It was like your interview but i saw several caeses they asked proof about bonafide marriage and i saw several cases sent it for revokation as well. They can't ask about the violence but they can ask to prove bonafide marriage then it's very important to take everything to attend the interview showing commingling finances and commune residence.

Thanks everyone. Do u have to have commingling of finances when u share residence? I thought the fact u live together your commingling your finances. Like we only pay rent it includes utilities. I also have a joint tax return for 2012 just in case I get rfe for bonafide marriage. I also have my daughter's birth certificate since in the state of nj once ur married ur husband name appears on the child birth certificate. Also have pics of us at dinner, party his aunt funeral and a lot of outings. I have a confession from his sister telling me he got into a fight with him and how he use to steal his gma money to buy weed. She won't right an affidavit because she is protective of her younger brother.

Does it show on the online status check if your biometic is scheduled or you just get notice in mail ?

I never check it online. My lawyer always call me when he get anything from vsc. My ead has no finger print. I did a walk in for my bio Caz ur was close to my due date. You will soon receive ur bio. It is for ur i485 anyways so don't worry. The greatest part is u can legally work. I think if u request fee waiver they expedit ur ead with the intention that u really need to work *my opinion *.

My lawyer so lazy, he never tells me anything. I always had to call him many times to figure out a little things like if he received my NOA. I'm worried if i pass the due date of Biometric because he doesn't let me know .
