Ssisi you can take these documents with you,but they won't question you about the abuse. Don't forget your birth certificate and respective translation.Do you have any jointly tax return? if you filed but don't have a copy with you then call IRS and ask for "IRS transcript", but you need to have a fax number and they will fax in 30min, dont ask to mail you it will take weeks

Sandra I have 3 years tax return together, and one year by-myself.,

Sandra about his passport or prove of abuser status, just have his American passport number in the divorce decree

Sisi1026 they approved already your vawa it means they have proof of his status. Take to the interview copy of all your tax returns.

They won't ask you about your husband status, but in case you get a tough person and he/she asks about it then just say I don't have proof of his status and I asked Uscis to search when i filed Vawa.

Did u pay the fee or got fee waiver? From my knowledge as sandranj said they don't ask u about the abuse just yes or no questions. Lets just put it as verification making sure this is you questions.

Congrats! ?I have a question to ask hope you can help me. you metioned here that you live with your husband in a short period of time and you did not receive any RFE's and i was just wondering if what evidence did you send for good faith marriage because i was kinda having a hard time getting evidence for good faith since i was only married with my husband for 3 months before he divorce me and he kick me out of our shared residence , we dont have commingling finances and record of joint residence when were together i wanted to be prepared when the time comes they ask for rfe. Thank you! ???

Hi all, congrats to all the approvals! Good to hear that USCIS are moving again finally and our wait time is getting shorter now. I have been gone a while I am sorry to have disappeared and not replied to a few who messaged me, I am sorry, I trust that you got the advice you were looking for by now! I finally was able to escape my abuser - I had to get a restraining order against him he was following me everywhere - even into a police station; but the good news is that the judge granted it for a lifetime. It has been a nightmare over the past few months but I am finally free. I just have a question now that my VAWA decision should be coming up soon. I now have evidence such as the restraining orders and more police reports which I did not have at the time I filed. Do you think it is wise to go ahead and send them now to VSC, or should I wait to see if there's an RFE sent? I will have been waiting 12 months this month and don't want to create any unnecessary delays. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Thanks sandra, I will get that done this week - one of the police reports is not available they wouldnt let me have a copy of it because it is an 'open criminal investigation' should I state that in my cover letter? I have other reports and restraining order but would it help my case for them to know that there is an ongoing criminal case?

hi SANDRAJ I got approved in December and my two kids are derived benefericies on my vawa is it two late to sne the form to Vermont and also will I ever get interview date and developing nerveous breakdown now has I cant see my kids and am starting to make plans to go back home after the case between me and the monster as I was sopeana to court they offer him 1 year but he playing tuff so as soon as case done am eding back home cant live no more without my kids
