I don't know much but that sounds like a long wait ar u sure ur lawyer did not get another request for more evidience? If u did ur application urself u might need to resend the info to them........I guess someone else on the page can answer more about this

Also my page haven't been updated at all even after I got my prima, it still say RFE so that might not change at all for u too

Thanks , but I used to call my Lowyer several times he told me that takes long time years , now I think I will keep him calling to find out wats is happen , I never know about prima face until Didn't find you guys , and I wish some one will help me with answer , maybe someone have the same story :(((

it sounds like your lawyer does not know much about anything :angry: . i would try to call vcs just to inquire in any kind of ways possible.the prima face means that you have met all the initial requirements for them to process your application.

see if you can pm sandranj..she knows best.

in the "check your status case" (left corner side)enter your EAC# (they should be on your 797 (NOA) that vcs sent. each application has a different number.press enter and it should take you to the next step.

1-800-375-5283 uscis

press 1 for english

press 1 again

press 1 again

press 2

press 2 again...

"a human person should come to the line and state their name and id#.

give them your receipt #s for vawa and I-485.

the agent should then transfer you to vawa office and you can explain what your situation or problem is..."

i found this on a lawyer website.it is supposed to be a "cheat sheet for finding out what is wrong with your vawa case"

i truly hope it helps someone here.

They wont give you Prima Facie until they finish with the RFE review. For what I've been told, they receive your paperwork and they do an initial review, if they find that there is something missing from the applications or if they need you to provide more information for what you have to proof in your case, they will send you a RFE, after you send the paperwork they will check the additional information, if they think that what you sent is not enough then they will send you another RFE and it could go on and on...When they will get everything OK then they will send you a Prima Facie.. This is just a very quick review tho...the real review will take place later on when they adjudicate your case.

Just for the record they are some people who meet all the requirements and never Get prima facie just got approval. I think dee was that person she already got her green card and is done with the process. She hasn't been here in a while.

March 29,2012 I-360 filed

April 2012 Request for Evidence Response Review

April 9 , 2012 VSC Reseved response for Evidence

Today November 16, 2012 Case Status: Request For Evidense Response Revew

ishka i think now that you sent in your rfe reponse they will issue prima facie to you. usually if you have missed something from filing they will issue rfe for it, once they get it and have everything they will issue prima facie - you should get it very very soon now.

04/24/2012 - VAWA I-360 Received by VSC

05/02/2012 - Receipt Notice Issued (received in hand on 5/08/2012)

05/03/2012 - 180-day Notice of Prima Facie Issued(received in hand on 5/08/2012)

That is true some people never got one at all from what I read. I requested prima facie determination in my cover letter when i filed i-360 I don't know if that makes a difference but I had read somewhere that they don't always send one so i asked just to make sure!
