It's so sweet that you care so much about California.

Of course, in part that's because Alaska is financed by California. But don't worry, we'll be fine here, so you have nothing to worry about either.

This thread proves several axioms, people in California have known to be true for a long time:

- While the whole world is enthralled with California. Most, in the state, couldn't care less about the attention.

- The above notwithstanding, there is no such thing as bad free publicity.

- People from other states devote far more time worrying about California than the other way around.

- California is the state everyone loves to hate, but can't resist loving it.

- Most people who are obsessed with California can't find it on a US map.

- Some people who are completely obsessed with California can't find it on a California map.

- Most people who dislike California have never set foot or lived in the state, or simply couldn't cut it there.

and my personal contribution:

- California should be renamed 'The Sour Grapes State'....

Having said that, I am sure that people in California would feel flattered with the attention if they could be bothered to give a darn about it...
