Has anyone heard of this happening. The hotel Secretary told my fiance that someone from the US called the hotel verifying his employment, and asked other questions. Huh!

Someone is playing a joke on someone. Why would the someone call from the US, unless he has applied for some type of job. "Someone from the US" is such an broad statement.

When you file the papers you put his employment history down along with contact numbers...theres a chance they could of called them.

Wouldn't it make sense that the call was made before they issued him a visa, their time lines indicates that a visa has been issued.

Plus there is no critera that says fhe beneficary should have a job, therefore this information would not have any bearing on the bene being offered a visa.

Yes could be a joke from the security saying the us called...

is this the hotel your staying at or did he work in a hotel and his coworker told him this?

That is what I said, why would they call now. He leaves shortly. I told him I have never heard this. He said they told her that he was leaving soon, so that made me believe that it was one of his friends girlfriends calling.

He works there, and when he went to work today, she told him about the call, because she answered the phone.

Keep messy co=workers out of your business. if beneficiary at times are told to get info from atty/petitioner Y would the dept call to divulge info or ask questions after visa is issued? they just called to say he's leaving  That visa dont even

require him having a job so?? Its scammers/pranksters be careful not to give out info....something is fishy.
