A good employer subsidizes for the family, to be sure. I have never heard of a place that does not.

UK-K1... preexisting conditions should not be a problem, either now, or very soon, due to the Affordable Care Act. I am not sure when the laws will be implemented, but check around - things are changing to help you.

I just wanted to let everyone know who posted in this thread and thinks the OP's options are bad, my husband's insurance just changed, it doesn't have a deductible and is 90% coverage with low out of pocket maximum BUT when our daughter is born our insurance will be $1600 month.

Hopefully once Obamacare gets going, the options will be more diverse, and cheaper.

14th December 2012 - Interview Date Received

18th December 2012 - Interview - Approved pending updated Police Certificate

16th January 2013 - Visa approved

21st January 2013 - Scheduled delivery of Passport & Visa

22nd January 2013 - Flying from LHR to DFW!
